I came across this building few months ago, it was actually named 'Guest House', suddenly of recent, I saw that its name has being changed to 'Inn' I have little knowledge in this stuff, so I'll like to know about the difference between the two and also the difference between the four types of buildings mentioned above. And also, if there are different charges placed on them due to their names? Thanks. 1 Like 1 Share |

I think they are quite related between each other. A binding requirement of any motel is existence of a parking place for a car. An inn is something like a motel but having a parking place is not a must. And a guest room is something more modest, as far as I know. It can be located in any building. Honestly, there are some varieties of variants in this aspect. If you are not totally confident about what place to choose you can look here in order to make up your mind faster. Anyway, you should listen to yourself what destination to choose. I always do like that and it never lets me down!

Hotels and motels are pretty similar, but motels usually have direct access to your room from outside, while hotels have interior corridors.

As I recall, Inns are typically smaller and cozier than hotels, with a more homey vibe. Guest houses are like renting a room in someone's house, often more personal and less formal. As for the name change from "Guest House" to "Inn," it could just be a rebranding thing, trying to attract a different crowd or fit a different image. Prices can vary depending on location, amenities, and demand, rather than just the name. If you're still on the lookout for more info, I suggest checking out some travel blogs or forums for detailed breakdowns. And hey, if you're ever looking for a sweet getaway, I recently checked out Aguila de Osa. |
