[size=20pt]Portal 2[/size] Developers :valve platforms: windows mac osx Linux play-station 3 x box 360 date of release: April 19th 2011 genre: puzzle game from a 1st person view modes : single player , multiple player. I give kudos to the creators of this game  The player wakes up first in a sort of secluded room with a mechanical voice telling him that he has been asleep fro a very long time . He is then told to perform an light exercise . looking up , down, left and right . (WSAD) movements. Then a one eyed robot enters the room and tells him him to hold on to something that he is about to be transported down wards.The room detaches and he falls with it. The player then moves through what looks like a deserted scientific testing environment filled with shrubs , water and shattered glass. He falls through a wooden floor onto a water filed space below . Then his mechanical guide tells him to move forward and retrieve a gun with which he can create portals through walls and lift objects in the testing world. First scene shows them flying in a helicopter in the desert and almost immediately they are attacked by a strange creature but the pilot manages to fly through. The team leader tell them that they have been tasked with bringing and rescuing a scientist. Soon there after their helicopter is hit by rocket propelled grenades which spins out of control causing the player (sam) to eventually fall down to a warehouse. He up sledgehammer and begins to battle eyed aliens . and headless aliens who fire rocket bombs at him. The aliens are shown to be dropped by space ships . He also runs from four armed creatures caring bombs who usually atack in massive hoards. serious sam has a deep voice and seems to be at ease fighting the aliens as he usually makes playful sounds while being confronted . He reaches a museum where its shown to house the missing scientist. He is soon attacked by strange creatures but manages to evade them and enters the building. He gets hold of a torch and begins his search. soon he is attcked by some hydra like creatures who constantly spit poisonous liquid at him. he recovers the hieroglyphics from Stein's phone in the museum and transmit them to headquarters. Deciphering indicates there is a hidden Sirian chamber below the Great Pyramid. Sam clears himself a path to a tunnel underneath the Sphinx and descends into the Pyramid. He not only discovers the hidden chamber, but recovers crucial information and a device . He picks it up and uses it to the Earth Defense Force. Sam is told that Headquarters has been compromised by Mental's forces, Quinn was killed and only she remains. Sam vows it is not over until he has wiped out every last one of the aliens. .Sam now Last Man on Earth plans to use the Time-Lock to kill Mental . After Sam kills Ugh-Zan in a teleport the Moon destroys earth. |
