They are a set of confused bigots. What is true federalism without resourse control? I think their heads need to be examined.

Great news especially the news about convicted looters/corrupt officials. A death sentence would have been the best penalty to pay, though.

True federalism without resource control is bullshitting. How about new state in the southeast? The southeast deserves and needs sixth state.

let me read the memo first *after reading op* all their recommendations are wonderful but we in the south-south will only accede to these when the land use act is repealed and a law ing 100% resource control to state governments is ed into law. after that, any group that are not comfortable in any state can ask for their own state. all states will pay a fixed 10% of revenues generated to the federal government |

PhockPhockMan: It's a giant leapThe most important thing is to correct Ironsi's error in a modern way. The 36 States of the country can do well as federating units as against the 6 geo-political zones which will lead to the formation of units similar to Nigeria. Resource control is right but should be handled with care as leaving some parts of the country extremely poor in contrast to others extremely rich could lead to a catastrophy. We have to find a way to balance things up. 1 Like |

these recommendations look good though incomplete without resource control but implementation is the major problem
