I am not bragging but you can never be a match to me when it comes to written or oral English. This is a piece of advice which you are free to take or reject. You should work on the use of punctuation marks, paragraphing, and small/capital letters before you call out Ilugunboy for a match. There are other things you need to work on but start from those. Keep deceiving yourself and your people. You mean to tell us that the government of the federal republic of Nigeria cannot build a 2 kilometre bridge but eats food of billions every year. Smh so jb has to tax the people so as to make there money back |

I am yet to know the importance of the second bridge to the South Easterners, if I have my way the first bridge should be bombed, removed and exchanged with pedestrian bridge. We need other alternatives and necessity is surely the mother of invention. Let's turn our face towards Old Eastern Nigeria 1 Like |

From JB's last annual report: Ibile Holdings Ltd. 65,997,000 5.5 % 65,997,000 5.5 % Benue Investment and Property Company Ltd.62,561,358 5.2 % Can you see clearly now? Ibile Holdings is the investment unit of LASG with offices behind Western House (an Oodua property btw). The toll should be at least N50k for 'luxury' buses which works out at only N1k per enger. Abi you count Oworonshoki express all the way to Apapa and the other end to Ikoyi as part of TMB? Why o why do you guys sell yourselves so cheaply and laud very petty things inventing 'records' out of thing air? What is so difficult to understand about the following statement? The construction giant mobilised equipment to the site in July for preliminary work pending the finalisation of the contract for the bridge and its approach road estimated at 12.4 kilometres, with the bridge alone having a length of 1.8 kilometres. asha 80: do you realize that the whole stretch of the bridge will connect to both the enugu onitsha and onitsha owerri expressways? 3 Likes |

So if we measure the 8 lane TMB from Apapa Express through Gbagada to Ikoyi and then measure it again from old toll gate on Lagos - Ibadan Expressway (abi we should start from Ibadan toll gate sef?) how many kms we go get? Na dis kin 'I clever my neighbour' sense dey always cause trouble for this country. Which bridge no get approach? If we start measuring bridges inclusive of their approaches where do we stop? The miserable JB/Yoruba/MB owned bridge is just 1.8km which is barely double the 800m length of BRF's Ikoyi bridge and just a fraction of TMB's 11kms over water and that is an end to the story. If you like you can try entering it for a Guinness record as the longest bridge in the SE if that floats your boat. I think it is a good development, so far the bridge will be maintained adequately. I will even subscribe to the "privatisation" of other major roads in the country, because the private firms can be held directly responsible for their maintenance which should be easy since revenue will be generated from tolling. Major problem is to get reputable firms. Then again most regions aside Lagos and the south east and perhaps South south are too poor to pay the tolls. 1 Like |
biodunid: 8:21pm On Dec 27, 2013 |
Actually all regions apart from the SE are 'too poor' to pay tolls so let us limit the tolling to the SE biko. Also other regions are happy to pay taxes not being 'republicans' so they deserve some government financed and maintained infrastructure for their money. ![]() eaglechild: I think it is a good development, so far the bridge will be maintained adequately. 2 Likes |
