Funny enuf i was just called today regarding this training by one Mr Steve, if i would be available..And he said they sent me the mail (i didnt get the mail) but since i didnt give any , they decided to call....He says the training is @Akwa-ibom and it starts in three weeks from now...no specific date was given anyway. Details he said would be supplied b4 the start of the training.

Well the training took place in all the south south states including cross river where I reside. I was opportuned to work with the consulting firm that trained the trainees that came from Cross River. 25 of them and I trained them on HSE. Other facilitators trained them in different fields. We took them to an oil firm where they were exposed to some techniques on how to carry out spill control and cleanup. That was just the first phase of the training. Its in four phases and the remaining phases will come subsequently. After each phase,10 out of the 25trainees will be posted to different oil firms where they will start up something like an internship,while d remaining ones will be put on standby. The FG needs 1000 Nigerians who shall be trained on oil spill management and that is why they are taking it in phases.
