Rewatched the SUPERMAN trailer over and over.
The first time I finished the trailer I didn't know when my face just lit up with a BIG smile. Nothing really funny was said or going on in the trailer but I just subconsciously smiled after.
A smile of satisfaction, confidence and pride in what I just saw.

And I believe many true Superman fans worldwide felt something similar in someway with the treatment of this film this trailer just teased.

Imagine me being this happy while watching a Superman trailer despite being more of a Batman fan.

We're in good hands.
Superman marketing is already cooking something MEGA like BARBIE.

I liked the trailer because it reminds me of the greatest superman film made so far: Man Of Steel.

This has the potential to be second best.

The Old Guard 2 is not a theatrical release but i totally get your point. A very tough ask for a movie to make a bill these days, harder still, when it has to compete with a heavy bo return magnet like Jurassic World: Rebirth, which is the only realistic competitor going by the list you have up there.

Infact, only 4 movies have cross 1bill since 2024 till date and only 2 movies, has crossed 800m this year even..so tough... tough ask imo.

I never really fully enjoyed DEAD RECKONING cos it seemed heavy with convoluted plotlines than the actual action we've come to enjoy.

With this one, I guess they can now kiss goodbye to a $600mn final gross. 🤔🧐

Lol, The Old Guard 2 is a Netflix movie. And even if it releases in theatres, it can't even be a threat to SUPERMAN at all. It's not really an anticipated blockbuster, let's be serious.

SMURFS doesn't even pose any challenge also despite being a family film, lol. That franchise has been dwindling over the years. The last film in 2017 didn't even $200mn worldwide. That's even pre-pandemic era, so who's gonna spend their money on that now? Film wey gross $45mn in North America?
I'm a fan of that franchise and have been watching every 2010s released movie, so I know what I'm saying.

Fantastic Four, it looks good so far but it also can't shake the franchise poor record both critic's wise and box office wise. It might be a really good film but I doubt this one is escaping the bad rep its gotten over the years at Fox.
We all saw how good TSS was but couldn't escape that stinker in 2016's Suicide Squad.
If F4 does fantastically well, I see a gross not more than $650mn and this is pretty optimistic. If it does as expected, around a $450-550mn because of the MCU.

The real challenge to me is JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH. Obviously that franchise is a surefire billion dollars spinner. So, it's going to be tough going up against it. But still, I have a weird feeling this one might not hit the $1bn mark everyone keeps shouting or has come to expect from the franchise.

Smurfs doesn't have that wow factor to give you FOMO or any hype to it. But these films all do.
So I barely see an interest in that film.

I don finally watch this movie after many years and it was a good 2hrs without fast forward and I almost forgot about the great cast, Florence Pugh, Timothée, Emma Watson, the main female lead and other actors all did well
