As the world continue to shuffle feet and double speak while hundreds of Muslims are killed (by Muslims?), the least we can do is to make Dua for the return of peace to Egypt and other places in the Muslim lands.

The world looked on because it is the blood of the Muslims that is being shed; of recent we have witness similar tragic occurrences in Burma and Bangladesh with very little mention. Everywhere you turned Muslims are being killed in hundreds; Egypt, syria, iraq, Yemen, Pakistan, Lebanon, Nigeria etc. The blood of Muslims is the cheapest you can find anywhere.

We can't blame any one but ourselves for these calamities. The greater calamity is that we also looked on as if nothing happened. Today, we lack even the least courage to call attention to the heinous crime committed against the Muslims on our social network pages. It was quite alarming that all we could do is to hold our breath and wait on non-Muslim institutions and governments to approve or denounce the oppression of our brothers and sisters.

The least we can do is to make Dua for the return of peace in our lands.

Oh Allah have mercy upon the Muslims of Egypt and them in their quest for a better society.
“O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and you alone can turn a difficulty into ease.” Grant us your ease, Ya Allah.

Perhaps, this is the time to ruminate on dua of the Prophet (which I pluralized) on the day he was pelted with stone out of Taif, drenched to his feet in his blood, a precarious situation similar to the state of the Ummah today.

Oh, Allah, we appeal to you for the weakness in our strength,
and our limited power,
and the treatment of contempt and humiliation from people.

To you, the most Merciful of all the Merciful ones,
you are the Lord of the oppressed, and you are our Lord

Under whose care are you leaving us to?
To an enemy oppressing us?
Or to a friend you have given control of our affairs?
If there is no anger from you on us we will forever be content.
However, your blessing is vastly important for us.

We seek refuge with the glory of your light,
which the heavens and earth are lit form,
that your anger will not befall on us,
nor your displeasure descends on us

To you is the supplication until you are pleased,
and there is no control or power except by You
