Why Are MTN Engineers Not Blocking Bis On Non BB Devices (3101 Views)

Since Mtn bis services started functioning on non BB devices the quality of the service has become dire which necessitated my jumping ship to Etisalat this week. Now the question is this, are MTN engineers so incompetent that they cannot block all these androids and the like to keep the service working smoothly. Android s claim they hate BB but yet they use its services, a bit like going over to your enemies house for breakfast lunch and dinner. MTN please let bis be for BB only so the service can be stable.

Emmysteve: why not go get one android phone for your self and stop crying like a spoilt brat!. I do have a galaxy s for multimedia and gave my galaxy ace away only last week. The point is I bought into the RIM setup because of the data services. If the whole thing is stable after mtns open door policy then I would not have complained but the quality of service has gone down down now and it has come to the point where I now have to carry two expensive phones around so as to use etisalat bis. I think MTN is shooting itself in the foot as bb carrying customers leave in droves for a more stable faster service. |

Wouldn't this be a factor also on their poor BB service? Honestly, you have no case here. By the way, why don't you ask MTN to make their HSI Internet volume like that of their BB? Or, are only non BB s that should be cheated with miserable data volume at an exorbitant rate? Think about this! As I am posting this comment now, I am on Airtel BB plan on my Android phone. Any qualms about it? |

That's very hypocritical and that's it putting kindly. Anyways ama get an android soon and try bis on it. Yes i can. I don't hate blackberries. ![]() 1 Like |

I have been wondering the same thing... Here is what you should do: Call MTN customer care on 180 Request to speak to Baba BABALEGBA Ask the Baba, he is the lazy engineer in charge. He should be able to provide answer for his ineptitude and incompetence... Return to NL to give us feed back... |

Andriodking: They are not as smart as you think... Itz not everyone that have chosen to limit themselves to their so called limited packages... Speaking for myself, I am not included... |

I think MTN is shooting itself in the foot as bb carrying customers leave in droves for a more stable faster service. Its simple business strategy. Go online and check stats and survey, you would notice a global decline on the use of blackberry. A fellow made mention of a smart move by MTN limiting the BIS package to just 3gb or there about. Someone who did not study economics would see what is going on. What would you do if you notice you have about 100,000 blackberry s paying N1500/monthly for 3gb and 500,000+ non-blackberry s (android, ios etc) paying the same amount? They are fully aware of what is on ground... |

@ OP,You are there envying people using Bis on thier Android and MTN is making thier Money like never before. If Mtn fail to make thier BIS Open then Airtel and Eti will give us thesame thing afterall Airtel is even more standard and faster..Before who knows Mtn ,Everybody was Unto Airtel but it seem they have seen thier Lapses and want to make AMendment....... FOR YOUR AWARNESS KNOW THAT ETISALAT BIS IS ALSO OPEN AND THEY BOLDLY SAY IT THAT IT WORKS ON ANDROID DEVICES AND ITS UNLIMITED,SO LET MTN FLOP ,ETI WILL GIVE ME THESAME THING THESAME PRICE...AIRTEL I HEARD IS ALSO STEPPING UP BY INCREASING THIER PACKAGE,SOME SAY THIERS IS 3GB.....SO OP NO TIME FOR ENVY......IF YOU CANT BEAT THEM JION THEM..LIKE GLO,I KNOW THEY ARE REGRETTING... 1 Like |
