If you were offered a Job in Lagos for N150k and you were offered the same job in Ibadan for N120k, which one will you go for?

Ibadan obviously. It just comes down to immediate accommodation, really. If you've got a place to stay at IB, it's a no brainier.

Cost of living in Lagos is too high and stress of waking up very early to work so as to beat traffic and many many more but Ibadan is less stressful and cost of living moderate...

Even for 100k, I'll still take the job in Ibadan over and over again. Served in Ibadan and life there no be gra gra like Lagos own.

OP even for 90/100k for the same job, I will carry my entire being to Ibadan... Seen the recent video of some men, sleeping inside BRT yet? Lagos is just stress, running when nobody's chasing you, traffic, suffer, waterside views and inshallah.

Lagos is a better deal if you're the ambitious and academically bright type, since you'll be getting more offers down the line if you're good at what you do. If you're the complacent type who wants to take life easy, Ibadan would do since it is a cheaper, easygoing place. Lagos can make you put in your best, but bear in mind that it is also the greed capital of Nigeria. Just as New York is synonymous to greed in US. The main challenge you'll face in the time being in Lagos is the poor salary. You can't afford a decent accommodation since the only decent accommodations in Lagos are in estates and high brow neighborhoods. But if you work hard and keep your eyes open for opportunities, you can land a good job. They're usually competitive, but if you're smart, it's no big deal. Just be ready to beat competitor to it.

I will pick Ibadan twice on Monday, once on Wednesday and three times on Saturday.

I don't know what the two jobs are, but I can tell you for free that 120k job in Ibadan is far better than 150k job in Lagos in of standard of living.

You may however need to look beyond that, most of the jobs in Ibadan are branch level jobs (the head offices are in Lagos), meaning that, two people starting their career on the same day in Lagos (HQ) and Ibadan (branch) will most likely not be on the same level in 24 months down the line. The guy is HQ would have gotten at least a promotion while you are still enjoying your 120K

Ask yourself again, what is the prospects of being at Ibadan after 5 to 7 years? How many job opportunities are in Ibadan compared to Lagos? Will it be easy to find a good manager level job in Ibadan in about 5 years time at least compared to Lagos?

Don't only think of today when choosing a new job, think strategically, you will thank me in years to come, I am telling you that from my over 20 years of experience!

By the time the Lagos job starts paying 700k, you'll still be on 200k in IB.

Except if you are residing around some area in Island, living in Lagos is just something disgusting to me.

Traffic, unorganized, Expensive items more and more.

In Ibadan, food is cheaper, accomodation is cheaper, at least we'll organized than Lagos state

Its insiders from both companies that can give u clues, sometimes job of salary of 70k may better than 200k of another job.

Go for the one you assume can fetch you others sides' benefits/cash outside salaries.

Even 100k job in ibadan is better than 180k job in Lagos

.....and the chances of getting a higher paying job in ibadan is much lower than that of lagos. If i were in your shoes, i would take Lagos offer, network and hardwork myself into getting a better offer worth x2 - x7 few months after resumption.
