Anyways, he's still very much around. Matter of fact, I gleaned an old moniker of his floating around here this afternoon.

"The Hunt aka Jagten" (2012).

Don't think i have seen a bad Mads Mikkelsen movie and this didn't disappoint, after seeing "Another Round" (2020) last week, i ed i had this in the archive.

It tells a story of a kindergarten teacher in a closely knit Danish community accused of sexual abuse, it gets even more complicated and believeble because the allegation was made by a child, and there's a notion that "children don't lie", Mads Mikkelsen character was swiftly ostracized and stripped of everything he holds dear, even when he was absolved of the crime, the final act shows that you're never really "absolved" or "free" after an accusation of sexual abuse, false or not...that stain lasts forever.

A masterpiece 9/10.

Sad. If I were the man, I'd move away with my family, because the inevitable is going to happen one day... someone is going to take a potshot at him, and this time, won't miss.

That's the plain truth man...the dangers of been falsely accused. Liked how they didn't "sugarcoat" the ending.

"Pieces of a Woman" 2020

Wow..This expertly told the story of how a woman tried to deal with one of the most devastating "loss" ever and Vanessa Kirby delivered. The movie was an emotional chore and it ticked the right boxes for me ...good dialogue, excellent secenry and a small cast that actually know what the were doing and the final act of the movie was most satisfying to say the least, the only blemish I had was how they dealt with Shia Labeouf's character.

8/10.

Thanks for this. Now I can it. I've been holding back from ing it because I thought it'd be a mediocre movie.

Ford V Ferrari: 4/4 stars

It's very close to real life events with the right emotional beats to make for a riveting sports drama.

Damon's name starts the end credits but the star is Bale who once again reminds of his range as an actor and how he takes up a role and runs with it.

It's a grandier version of Rush(2013)
