Governor Adegboyega Oyetola imposes 24-hour curfew on Osun

1. The Government of the State of Osun note with a high sense of responsibility the unfortunate dangerous dimension the #EndSARS protests have assumed across the country, particularly in the South West States.

2. In our dear State, but for providence, the Governor would not have been alive to preside over today’s security meeting following the attempt on his life last Saturday.

3. In spite of the Saturday incident, we have allowed the protest to continue in the hope that the real protesters would take charge of the protest.

4. Events of the last 48 hours have however shown clearly that the protests have been hijacked by criminals and hoodlums.

5. As a responsible and responsive government that took the sacred oath to protect the lives and property of our citizens, we will not sit and watch criminals unleash terror on our State.

6. Consequently, the Governor of the State of Osun, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, hereby imposes a 24-hour curfew  on all parts of the State, effective from 11.59 pm today, Tuesday, October 20, until further notice.

7. By implication, there shall be no movement except those on essential duties who will be permitted to move around. These set of persons must have valid identifications to move around during the period of the curfew.

8. All citizens and residents are ened to comply with this directive as any person found contravening this order shall be arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.

9. I en all our citizens to be peaceful and to be law abiding as all efforts shall be made to protect them and their property.

10. May God continue to bless and keep the State of Osun.

You cannot attack government and not expect a backlash.
Burning government property,lynching policemen,burning private properties,jailbreak,etc...No government will let you do this,not even the US.
The moment the protest went out of control,the so called "real protesters" were suppose to end the whole thing so as not to give room for criminals.
Rather celebrities kept fanning you to go on while they gain relevance in return,now you are dead whereas they are not dead.Who is the fool?
There is no such thing as a fallen hero,Anyone that dies in such nonsense is a fool.
Also note that the most important thing on earth after life is money,you cant hijack the economy of a country that's on the brink of bankruptcy and expect all to go well.

And this is the strategy their foolish leaders are now using, "peaceful protests hijacked by criminals and hoodlums", like how exactly do you want to make sense out of this? These illiterate youths protesting on the streets are doubling as the criminals and same time the hoodlums. It's a plain truth you all are concealing.

I keep wondering that if you truly are protesting for #EndSARS in response to police brutality in your region as it initially started, how comes police stations are being burnt, police officers being hit with vehicles in broad day light, shops beings destroyed, vehicles bring burnt, prisons being broken letting highly profiled criminals on the streets again, stealing wealth and properties bringing to others etc ?

How many are you in Nigeria as a whole in the first place to think you can change this country to how you want it? You're not even the majority nor do you own this country alone. If you're too dull to think clearly, Nigeria is still practicing democracy system of governance. Things don't happen the way you see it with your empty brains.
