At least you have a job, do you have an idea how many qualified graduates out there are looking for something to do, they'd give so much to replace you, quit the job or quit whining.

Really most commenters on this thread are commenting from a poverty mentality. In sane climes, he won't even come out to ask before he resigns. Personal joy and fulfilment is superior and should be placed over any job.
