If there is one thing I thank Almighty God foris that my family could afford my university education in europe.

The amount of knowledge I gained was tremendous... And I realized why half of our youths back here in Nigeria today are VERY VERY DUMB

In Nigeria, We go to school just for going sake.. Nothing important is gained, we just waste years decieving ourselves.
Reading subjects that we won't apply in our life..
No real knowledge, profs collecting sex and bribe to students..


You have students that graduate but can't even use the knowledge they acquired.
Some didn't acquire any fucking knowledge. Just went to school because Daddy and Mummy force me to go to school..

Graduates that can't think outside the box
No wonder y'all can't create anything for yourself. Always carrying certificate to look for who to slave for chicken change you call salary.
What Skill did you learn apart from your useless certificate??
Can you send for yourself without slaving and hunting for jobs..

If your nigerian professor teaches you about atomic properties, he uses diagram from textbook written by white man
If European professor is teaching you atomic properties they will let you see it live in an EMF microscope showing detailed properties and movements of atom..
There is a huge difference in seeing something only in textbook and seeing something in real life application

Attend Uni, spend an average of 1M, use up four years of your life and end up with an average income of 70k-1m per month.
Learn a skill, spend an average of 100k, use up 6months and end up with an average income of 500k-2M per month.
Plus our education system is a big joke, Uni over here is such a hype.

Because that's the idea, to create a "rigid society" where the wealth gap is much more severe, having the masses live on low income upon hard work while the Elites gain more. The purposes of school is to waste as much as possible of your time with learning useless things. Thus you will have no option to get out of the job slave system of working your self out, because you don't know anything else.
Basically school teaches you to be a job hunter instead of being productive.

Also, unlike Nigeria, China is very Creative and they always prefer on "development". Our government would rather be selfish and run us to the ground.

Your parents where fortunate to send you abroad, many parents are not that fortunate to do that so do not lord it over Nigerian graduates. if you cannot proffer solutions, then you are of no help. Humility is a great gift.

The problem we have here is simply bad leadership. Millions of our youth are unemployed and placed under no welfare package.

In every society, everyone must not navigate towards a particular sector in order to succeed career-wise. That is the reason we have different sectors in societal development.

Although our universities tend towards theoretical rather than practical aspect of study, it doesn't negate the fact that Nigerian graduates are generally smarter and have an active brain. We were only unfortunate to be placed in Africa where there is bad leadership.

Today 70% of lawyers that are recently called to bar leave the profession entirely because there is a little chance to grow financially practicing law when the old lawyers have taken all the juicy clients for themselves.

Our doctors and health workers are paid peanuts and many are leaving in their groves to another clime.

Most average engineers have ended up as a banker because there is no guarantee of landing a job in a construction firm or company.

@Op our society is dysfunctional not because of lack of creativity of Nigerian graduates and youths but as a result of lack of enabling environment to succeed.

Nigeria youth are strong and resilient. In the other part of the world, the youth commit suicide as a result of mere boredom and loneliness but here we are very strong and hopeful despite our suffering, lack, difficulty, despair and anguish.
