This is just an attempt to raise the price of oil. The fear of war with Iran has always lead to increase in demand for oil and thereby increase in price. It won't happen. Trump had is best chance to go to war with Iran in February, he wasted it for obvious reasons. Now is even a worse time.

Iranian boats have been trying to provoke the US warships on the sea due to a report that there is an outbreak of covid 19 among the troops and thus perceived to be vulnerable. Trump just had to issue the order to keep the Iranians at bay.
