Hopefully it will when an appropriate vaccine is gotten for it. Things at the end might not get back to normal immediately however, some things will change particularly, with the use of technology in our work places, schools, even in religious activities.

When will it end? I think new cases recorded globally are daily reducing. But continents like Africa will likely be responsible for a secondary wave of the infection. Before the end of Summer things should have significantly improved in countries that are serious with social distancing and all, while countries in Africa may be in the heart of their own upsurge. This very likely will provoke a tighter restriction on travels from and to Africa, and prove of Covid-19 test may be required for boarding planes leaving Africa.

Will things ever get back to normal? Yes. Human beings have infinite capacity to recover from any injury however terrible it is. Once covid-19 becomes no more than a seasonal flu we will all forget it ever happened. It will become no more than tales told by the moonlight.

Things will never return to "normal " again, this is the beginning of the new world order you have been hearing about all this years is finally here.The way you travel, socialized, education, worship God etc have all been changed forever.
