You must be prepared to leave the funds for more than two years o

However, where a non-resident investor, having sent funds from offshore, requires that the proceeds of the investment (that is, interest and maturity value) be REPATRIATED offshore, then they are restricted to the purchase of Government Securities with tenor of three (3) years and above.

For emphasis, where a non-resident investor requires that his/her investment proceeds be repatriated, then the investment can only be in instruments with tenors of three years (3) and above, such as the 3-year or 5-year bond.

Though this was the rule in 2010, i knew it was still in effect as at 2017

If you’re looking for peace of mind and safe investment better run away from bitcoin, it’ll drain you and increase your BP. You can wake up tomorrow and the value is half the price you bought it.
You're right, sir. Thanks for the valuable advice, I appreciate. I understand investments and how they work. I'm also aware of the range of volatility of different classes of investment/venture. Thanks once again!

Has anyone here ever done dollar denominated Commercial Paper through FBN quest, is there any risks associated with it?

So, I just advised mommie dearest to hold on on some land she wanted to pay cash for. We ll need that cash for later in the year to snap up distress sales.

Has anyone got any advice on where to spot such opportunities. I have got some personal s but I want to spread a bigger net for information.

I know this sounds terrible but this recession fills me with excitement. Fortunes are made during recessions you know

I hope you have enough cash that can take care of your expenses for the next 6 months and above, if you have done that you can invest in whatever catches your fancy

A lot of distress sales will happen after this lockdown.. A lot of businesses are already collapsing and would need funds to get back on. Unfortunately many companies will lay off workers.. If this lockdown lasts till end of this month, I’m afraid what would happen.. Interesting times..

To have "cash at hand" or to have assets that can be easily converted to cash.

what was the minimum investment value and at what percentage?

On a general note FBNQuest are like brokers, you would need to do your own research about the company offering the commercial papers to know their credit rating and how good their balance sheets have been for atleast 2 years
XiaoLi: 9:45am On Apr 12, 2020
The minimum investment value i don't know as i have already invested. I got 4% for the interest and investment was done first week of March. My RM said that it is First Bank offering the Commercial Paper and it is risk free same as treasury bills, I just want gurus here to help look into it as those RM cannot be trusted sometimes.
