Of the five deaths, only one was due to lack of due diligence on the part of NCDC amd Government, the rest of them lied about their travel history, and are to blame for their own deaths and many more infections.

Some Nigerians are the most useless being, you have been asked to come out if your traveled history is within 3 months. they are hidden infecting innocent people who never benefited from there trip abroad. our government refused to closed boarder at the right time because their families where living abroad. I hope the poor who never benefit from government would not suffer for this pandemic.

It won't

Nigeria will not record up to 1,000 deaths by 2nd of May.

That you are comparing Nigeria to those countries, shows how little you know of Nigeria.

BTW, 4 of these deaths are because the victims hid their travel history from authorities, it is individual selfishness that killed them, not lack of care.

The number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria is more than 1000.

The number of infected people roaming the streets untested are far more than the audio figures released by NCDC

Yes, we all know the cases are more than the figure NCDC gives... But please, let's use our brain... The figures NCDC releases are confirmed cases. They know that there is a possibility that there are more than 500 unconfirmed carriers of the virus, that's why the government and the NCDC are working day and night to curb this virus.

its only in nigeria that the government will say "Everybody should stay Indoor" and everybody will come out to check whether there is anybody outside
is it not the same government that imported the disease from and UK?

There are at least 3000 unconfirmed coronavirus cases in Nigeria. Brace up guys for the nearest days/weeks ahead doesn’t seem good. It’s going to get really gloomy in the next 2-3weeks from now.

In the U.K., we’d 171 confirmed cases on March 17th, 3weeks later we’re at over 40k cases with over 4k deaths. Nigeria is on same trajectory.

Keep social distancing and avoid body s of any kind. In fact consider everyone as a potential carrier of the virus.
All these prophet of doom! Does uk looks like Nigeria?Let us all always have a positive mindset while the necessary precautions are followed,it is then we can be freed from anxiety.Lastly, bookmark this page, your prediction will not prevail as God liveth

No country or nation can beat it's chest and tell the exact number of carriers of this novel virus in it's territory, so Nigeria is no exception.

But I advocate though that Nigeria should increase the pace of it's testing to be able to capture more cases before it becomes overwhelming because of our limited medical infrastructure.

Have you read what is currently happening in Ecuador where victims of Covid-19 are being dumped on the street. It is their police that are now going from street to street collecting corpses for burial. Some died in their house because the hospital is overwhelmed and cannot it any more cases. This is what every nation fears, and this is where we should be concerned.
