I think they can stay up to 3 or 4months as long as it is still within the validity of the visa.
Only that those immigration officers in UK usually for first timers ask how long one is staying then they check with your application and some even go as far as asking for the flight ticket to check return date.
Maybe some other people here will clarify how to go about it. But a lot of people stay beyond what they wrote in their application and are fine.

It's too much in my opinion. Stick to the one month and when 6 months is over, apply for 2 years and they can stay averagely for 3 months.

Just my personal opinion.

Depends... but why did you put one month. Sometimes we over fear and over think this thing. If they have grandchildren and retired then I would have put 2 to 3 months in the application that they are coming to bond with their loved ones

Since you put one month... I would say maybe 6 weeks or max 2 months if its first time then next time I cam do almost 6 months. ... I have no evidence to what I am saying. It just how I would have approached it

thank you sis. I was just scared of putting more than one month because of the living expenses and all others. Though there was enough money for 6 months but just was trying to be on a safe end

What you said makes sense but it doesn’t matter. Anything can make her folks stay longer.

They just should stay tooo long

It probably wont be a problem. My MIL stays 5months and 20 days most times and my mum has done 6 months back to back ,

However I met someone whose mum was denied the next time that she stayed 5 months . So you never can predict when the next Visa officer will say

It does matter especially as she indicated one month in the application form, staying longer than that could lead to many refusals.

Exactly, I know someone that they asked for 1 week and the mum stayed 3 months; she got her visa at the next application. But I know someone that stayed the appropriate times every time she applied for her visa, and she got denied the last time she applied.

I think they just do mpi-sakatin-mpi-out

I believe circumstances change and they usually understand this, just not to the point of 5months.

If she stays 3months, that should still be fine. This is just my IMO, we over fear this things most times and they deny people for various reason they never disclose in full.

I know someone whose mum got for 6months and she spent just 3weeks, she was denied subsequently because mama forgot to add her trip to dubai. She re-applied and got it.

Also, in another vein another person used 5months but waited 6months before they re-applied for 2years and got it.

In all, go with you are comfortable with.

Lmao grin

It’s just a song we use to sing, as children, to pick the child that will leave the group. Or as adults, if you don’t want to make a decision, you just close your eyes and sing the song while pointing to the items. Then the item that you point at when you say “out” goes out, meaning your decision is the one that’s left “in”.

What I basically meant by that is that the Case Officers don’t really do their job, they just close their eyes and select based on their mood, who will get visa and who wouldn’t. cheesy

Hello, people

1. Please I need your expert advise or opinion on this: let's say I have a baggage allowance of 50kg by Etihad airline, can I have a bag weighing 30kg and the other weighing 20kg? Or must the kg be evenly distributed?

2. Another one... is my hand luggage and laptop bag amount the allotted 50kg?

3. Is my laptop bag gonna be weighed?

Yes, there's no particular advantage, a Briton has over a Nigerian in the Canadian Express Entry process, it's entirely point based and all applicants are assessed on a level playing field. If you've got the time, the thread link below would guide you to more details:

https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/5471101/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

This is not correct. British citizens have a different pathway for migration to Canada.

G.day house. Please can someone who is a UK citizen migrate to Canada without going through the normal process. What are the various ways by which a British citizen can migrate legally to Canada. I will appreciate responses please. Many thanks

Canada offers a migration program called The International Experience Canada program available to citizens of certain countries including the UK. A few people I know migrated from the UK to Canada using this program. You can search google or some IEC groups on Facebook for more information on how it works. https://www./ocanada.iec.discussion./?ref=share

Maximum Weight for checked luggage is 23kg

Maximum Weight for Carryon Luggage is 10kg

So you’ll need to split them into multiple bags.

Ok
Thank you.
Meaning I can carry 3 luggage of 10kg, 20kg and 20kg to make up for the 50kg allowance assuming that's my allotted kg?

Your airline should be able to provide your baggage allowance. Check your ticket conditions or check with the airline or their website. IA bag does not have to be a maximum of 23kg, it also depends on the class you are flying.

I flew Etihad Airways on December when I travelled back to Nigeria.

23KG is the Maximum Weight per bag for Economy Ticket Holders.

Now, if he's flying First Classs OR Business Class then the Maximum Weight per bag is a little higher.

I believe British citizens are eligible for the working holiday visa for youths under the international experience Canada program. This visa is just a 24months temporary visa with age restriction (18 to 30 years). A British national would still need to apply for permanent residency via Express entry like everyone else if they desire to live permanently in Canada.
