You have no idea how painful this is. 26 years old, jobless, staying with demandin father, teaching in a private school that pays less dan 15k but still owing 2 months salary. Praying and hoping. Spending last kobo on test and interviews that dont call back etc. Im living my worst nightmare at the moment... just breathing.

I actually don't know where some people got the information that APL is ready. APL is not ready. NNPC doesn't even know total number of applicants they will take as it stands. I was told that restructuring and maintenance of Refinery has even made a lot of staff redundant and NNPC is trying to fix them up in different places until the whole process is completed. APL will come out when they are done the maintenance and overhaul issues on the ground.

why remove the comment....i heard similar for EH some weeks back but not in the mould of rescreening....more in the line of on hold...with some differing explanations.....

This Nairaland thread has been an amazing depiction of our human personality.
Some days we are hopeful when seemingly genuine information comes.
Other days we are hopeful even when the information is clearly false.

One general thing I have taken from here is that we hate factual information if it's against our want. We cast and bind in the name of what we believe in, just because we deny reality. Just like that Nigerian lady that prefers to be lied to than hear the truth.

All in all, we will be fine. I understand the reasons that drives these sentiments. The Nigeria place has few alternatives.

I find it amazing that a place outside Nigeria would pay you to learn a skill while seeking for jobs.

One day we will be in the position to change the narrative. Oh, God when it's our turn to be leaders in Nigeria, assist us to be just and honest.

You might not know when but you will be fine. We all have our stories. I would suggest if possible to acquire on the side skills for freelancing jobs say on fiverr or Upwork. You won't regret it.
