Case of domestic violence, an acute yet so often unspoken problem all over the world.

One artist in Turkey found it so heartbreaking and important, he managed to find a way to bring it to the awareness of his fellow countrymen that just couldn’t be ignored and also beautifully commemorate those who fell victim for this terrible violence so at least the memory of those wasted lives remains.


These 440 pairs of shoes were hung up on the wall of a building in Istanbul, Turkey.

It was made by a Turkish artist and graphic designer, Vahit Tuna.

He chose high-heels as a symbol of feminine power and independence that he wishes all women had.

This is brilliant, some artists minds are just immaculately polished with awesome ideas no strand of dumbness in them, when you run out of ideas they are just getting started, this is one beautiful way to create awareness big ups to the artist!! I hope those 440 women and the rest finds rest!!

@ Op; thanks for bringing this topic on board. Pretty sad to know all these women died due to domestic violence. At all cost, domestic violence MUST BE condemned and not tolerated by any gender; be it male or female.

It is well...this made me so emotional. May God help us. Domestic violence is a nono...how could you love someone at a point in your life, or like them enough to be in a relationship with them, yet hurt them till you kill them. Wow! It's unbelievable!

Domestic violence at all level should be condemned. Let's also learn to control our mouth when we are angry. Sometimes words causes more destruction than physical violence.

Many people have lost their lives as a result of this delicate subject and you think it is right for you to be making fun of the subject as well as being abusive on top of it make you continue you hear, keep playing fun and games until this topic will reach frontpage and then the whole world would see your lack of sensitivity on a delicate topic such as this.
