Barcelona lost Luis Suarez to injury as a stunning late goal from Aritz Aduriz secured a 1-0 win for Athletic Bilbao in Friday'sLaLiga opener, MySportDab reports.

Barca produced a lacklustre performance and were punished when substitute Aduriz, 38, found the net with a stunning 89th minute bicycle-kick.

Luis Suarez and Rafinha both hit the woodwork for Barca but the visitors struggled to impress despite fielding new £107m g Antoine Griezmann.

However, Barca suffered a further blow as Suarez hobbled off before half-time.

Ernesto Valverde's side - chasing a third successive La Liga title - also included midfielder Frenkie de Jong, a £65m g from Ajax but were disted for long spells and managed just two shots on target.

Former Spain forward Aduriz has already announced he is retiring atthe end of the season after a career spanning 20 years.

But the 38-year-old threw himself into the air and scor s in stunning fashion with a bicycle kick past Marc-Andre ter Stegen to earn Athletic Bilbao a first league win over Barcelona since 2013.

I watched the goal. It was absolutely stunning.

Aduriz is the oldest player on field yesterday,he's over 38 years old, he outplayed all the young players on field when the coach sub him In for Inaki Williams.
