Update is for improvement of device or addition of more features, so, you might want to update. Before you decide,
check the changelog of the update; it's stated at the update page and the size of the Update in MB/GB.

So long as you're sure that the device has not been tempered with in anyway, why not?

There are two updates, the first is 653MB while the second is about 428MB.
