Like I said some days back, these small countries would be tough to beat but there won't be any real upset. Kenya, Burundi,Madagascar, Namibia,Zimbabwe... round of 16 is their bus stop

TheGoodJoe: Oruma's quality never truly appreciated in the SE, top player. One of his best games for me was against Ghana in the AFCON he was outstanding. The never ending rivalry on and off the pitch between him and Okocha did not help his career in the SE, in my opinion. 4 Likes |

jihday: Nothing will happen to them bro. Is not as if the officiating was great. And the fact that the black community are good at playing racism victim card, they will just turn it on FIFA head. The least FIFA will do is to fine their FA with some money. But banning them is unlikely. FIFA itself is politics, so they will use their head, especially when people are divided on the issue 3 Likes |

forgiveness: It doesn't really matter the quality is not the same. All the top EPL teams have it ingrained that all the youth team training creates the foundation for progression to the first team. |

TheGoodJoe: In most cases it doesn't follow. I know a player who captained England U16 a top top EPL team U18 team. He then played for the U23 regularly was released at 21 within 2 years he was playing non league for AFC Fylde in the NW of England. I can give you numbers upon numbers who club s bought for silly money. And with a few years they have been released. |
TheGoodJoe(m): 11:15pm On Jun 23, 2019 |
komekn: I will prefer to note that of top players of Manchester City in recent years falling to non league. Edozie is going to City academy. Which has done well in recent years in churning out quality players. |

charlesemeka85: Maybe the reason they are still waiting for another AFCON title for so long is because they spend too much time hating on Nigeria ![]() 2008 they hosted it and couldn't win.. 2010 they had one of d best squad in Africa but couldn't win.. 2012 no Nigeria. they faced Zambia in the semis and were disgraced... 2013 they had d chance to meet us in d final but messed up.. 2015 they were leading ivory coast in d PK shootout and still lost 2017 couldn't even finish third.. I wonder how this year will be like ![]() 7 Likes |

forgiveness: Coefficient is flawed because it is obvious the 1992 Champions league carried weight till that 1996. List the top players in the French league in 1996 and let me list those in the Epl and tell which is the mickey mouse league. Is it not UEFA coefficient that Manchester City won the EPL repeatedly and is still down the pecking order. Start, list your top 10 players in your coefficient French league and let me list that of the EPL. Waiting. |

If not for the trolling the bouthing of Ghana is unnecessary and worse still very misleading. Ghanaians are actually nice people generally and are well mannered. They don't have issues. Forget the online bickering. The only thing is that they're are quite combative when it comes to discussing their country because they are strongly nationalist in outlook, which is really not a bad thing. They look up to Nigeria in the area of economy to a very very large extent. Nigeria's economy as shitty as it is is huge and there's lots of money and opportunities therein, it is not so there. Also, other neighboring countries too are in awe, in Cameroon, Niger, Togo etc it's the same thing. Coming to Entertainment too, they look up to Nigeria in that aspect. The Music Industry in Nigeria and Nollywood are so far ahead, all the Nigerian Artistes and Actors are recognized internationally. It's not so there, only a handful of their Artistes are talented and recognized outside Ghana. So no need to bouth Ghanaians and their country, they're an okay bunch. Forget trolling. 2 Likes 1 Share |

forgiveness: No need talking too much. Look at the gap in revenue between the EPL in 1996/1997 season and look at French league. You see why I said Mickey mouse?

edi287: Sad the 4-3-3 was not looked into back then to a large extent. I calling for it or asking for Okocha to be moved to a more offensive role while Oruma creates. But tactical ideas for most national teams then was so limited, so we did not get to enjoy Oruma in the national colours enough. |
TheGoodJoe(m): 11:28pm On Jun 23, 2019 |
jihday: Far easier than playing offensive football. If Millwall wants to play Manchester City, will they choose to go on the offensive or defend? Obviously defend because that is the easier option to try to survive. Ask Falcons. 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: If revenue determines the UEFA ranking of a league why is EPL not the best in the world? Celestine Babayaro played in a Mickey mouse league as at the time he played for Chelsea according to UEFA ranking. ![]() But Taiwo played in the top 4 league in the world. ![]() |
TheGoodJoe(m): 11:33pm On Jun 23, 2019 |
forgiveness: Revenue shows the calibre of players the league could attract. Babayaro was among the best players with respect to name. Taiwo was with Donald Duck. ![]() |

Jarus: A whole lot of them.. ![]() It's quite funny these days that when other Africans want to engage Nigerian in a football decision they hardly stay on course.. it would start with how bafana bafana are better with the super eagles and before u know it, they will start calling us drug lords, boko haram,etc...Just visit supersport Facebook page...so much hate!! Winning this AFCON would be the perfect response to all this rubbish... 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: How come EPL was down the pecking order in 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 despite the calibre of players? The calibre of players is the reflection of the UEFA rankings. Poor EPL, they must had been sold expired players. I mean efulefu packaged players. Ebu in another tongue. ![]() No wonder CAF never looked Celestine Babayaro's way. |

forgiveness: I'm not ing thegoodjoe argument here o .. But how can u say the English league was inferior as at the time Babayaro was there? If it's because of the uefa coefficient ranking, then u just made a erroneous statement... The French league was ranked ahead at that time cus they had just recently produced the UCL winner in 1993(till date the only UCL trophy they have).. The English league already had 8 UCL title!! Some of the best players in the world were in the EPL as at that time... Maybe Chelsea were an average team back then but certainly not the EPL... That being said,u really need to relax on this uefa coefficient u bring up every time to ur arguments... This ranking are continuous. they change overtime... U can't say Brazil national team is inferior to Belgium's just because Belgium is ranked higher...neither can U say Romania are a better footballing nation than Nigeria because they are ranked higher... |
