Seems like you are into the GEO world, anyway if you are interested in such program, I will also suggest you check out the following programs.

If you are interested in remote sensing, check out KIT and university of wurzburg,

If you are for geoinformatics, check out university of muenster and hft Stuttgart

If you are for geoinformatics and geodesy, check out Leibniz universitat hannover and TU Berlin

If you are interested in hydrography, check out hafencity university, Hamburg

Then if you are interested in all these areas of specializations in one program and you be Oliver Twist like us, then come to University of applied sciences Karlsruhe for geomatics.

@eldee I guess you are in a tuition paying school, how are you coping and how does it really work. I will appreciate your response and I’m also a geo person and I can see some tuition paying schools too and they are interesting with geoinformatics and Remote sensing courses.

So I stumbled upon this site late last year and it's been AMAZING, I've laughed, dragged people, been dragged, learned a lot and contributed the little I know, made really great friends who I'd love to have forever. On here I made friends who helped me every step of the way, whenever I had issues (I MEAN SOMEONE I'VE NEVER MET HELPED ME GET AN INTERVIEW DATE) and to all of them I say thank you, it's been wonderful meeting you all.

Now that I'm done speaking English and making sure my degree fees have been well spent, here's my time-line :
Interview date: 11th February
AM: 12th March (7:24 am) I spilled my tea!
Sent port and insurance : 14th March.

So, to learning Deutsch, since that is all I do these days. I've created a group called Nairaland on Duolingo for those who wanna learn German (which I assume is all of us since we need the language to succeed in ). To you can use the code J3FX7M. Duolingo is free and this group is just a fun way to stay competitive as we learn the language, sort of an incentive to keep learning especially for those of not not yet in Deutschland. ing is pretty straightforward with the code above. If you're confused, google 'how to a club on Duolingo'.

Ps: 30 days into using the app, I can already form quite a few sentences and have short conversations. As someone said, you have a huge advantage learning the language or at least becoming farmiliar with it before you arrive the country. Happy Learning!

Hi guys, I have been very bothered to be honest. I got my AM jan 28th and posted my documents with port and travel insurance to the embassy since last Wednesday, that’s 9 days now. No dispatch of my documents or any call from dhl. My brother’s own took only two days. I am so worried. I tried tracking and it says Nothing yet like it hasn’t been dispatched. My flight is for next weekend and I have made all arrangements. What could be the problem? Has there been cases like this?

Dear colleague,
I was scheduled for an interview by univ of applied science Berlin as final part to get my ission letter. Has anyone through this with same sch or similar sch? My question
1. What shd I be expecting to discuss for the interview
2. What's the studying in the sch look like in of student job
3. How expensive is the sch fees monthly or yearly as a private sch
4. What opportunities ahead choosing the sch as against others considering fact that I applied to various schools as well

Am yet to enroll, aiming for winter semester. I already have issions for msc geomatics at the University or Applied Science Karlsruhe, which incidentally happens to be my first choice.

Incidentally most of the wonderful programs for geo related courses are on Baden wurttemberg which requires a payment of €1500 per semester for tuition. This of course is the downside. But in all, it's cool nevertheless.

Coping with the payment is not quite funny more especially when others are flexing no tuition, but it's quite feasible if adequately planned. It's not like I have all the money to pay for it, but from what I learnt it's very much possible

I actually prefer the geomatics program at Karlsruhe cos its curriculum is second to none for me and you get to learn almost every specialities such as remote sensing, geoinformatics, geodesy, software engineering, surveying and cartography, geobusiness, environmental resource management etc before you graduate and that makes you better suited for the market and consultancy services as well. Unlike others who are just interested in only one or at most two specialties.

So in all, it depends on what you actually want. Just as you see in the list of programs I outlined.

As regards managing the tuition issue, if you cut down on expenses by getting a cheaper accommodation, you can save for it. And moreover there are lots of good jobs available for students in this region, If you are good in programming from what I heard, na you go run cos BW is the technology hub.
