President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 1,232,133 votes to emerge winner of last Saturday’s presidential election held in Katsina state.

His PDP counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) got 308,056 votes.


A breakdown of the results showed that Katsina has total ed voters of 3,210,422 while the total accredited voters of the elections are 1,628,865.

The total number of votes cast is 1,619,185 while 63,712 were rejected votes


Buhari won all the 34 local government areas declared by INEC in the state.
