I took the result to a doctor and he prescribed Pefloaxin for me and I also took five injection to flush this bacteria and it seemed like I was getting out of the bond of this bacteria until the symptoms returned back few weeks later.

I decided to resort to Nairaland because most of the doctors I've gone to are incompetent, and I don't want to take too much antibiotics so that my body will not become resistant to it.. The way this staph is affecting me is becoming unbearable. I can't sleep or breath well

Someone suggested I go to general hospital since they seem to be more experienced but all na the same. They are always too much in a hurry to attend to patients and prescribe drugs.


Please if you have treated this stubborn infection before, how did you manage to cure it completely? Did you use drugs or herbs?

Staph is a stubborn infection, from d sensitivity test done, the culture report Rocephine which has 3+, I ll advice u stay on d drug and monitor the development after complete dose is taken. There after u can now do d test and see the outcome. But hygiene is required here highly.

Staphylococcus is on everyone's skin.
Non sweetened Yoghurt could help as a probiotic.
Don't let people scam you with Staph.

The test you did must be wrong. You cannot have a blood culture with a heavy yield Staphylococcus Aureus and you're walking about okay. You should be dead already.

And I wonder how Staph would even get into your blood, do you do IV drugs?

Please stop wasting your money. You don't have a Staph infection. I repeat, you don't have a Staph infection. The sample collection process was obviously not properly done and there was contamination either from your skin or the skin of the sample collector.
All of the symptoms you described indicate what is known as somatization disorder, probably as a result of anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder or both. You may need to see a psychiatrist or a psychotherapist.

Staphylococcus can't ruin your life. The picture of your lab result showed you have sepsis (blood infection). And you can't have sepsis for that long and still be alive neither will you be able to type or visit nairaland.
Staph is present in our skin and nose and the environment.
That lab result is doubtful. Staph is not a diagnosis. Beware.

Most cases that are quackly diagnosed as Staph are actually UTIs in men, adult malnutrition, bladder or hepatic conditions, STIs.

Bro all I can advise you to try boil you water �for this period try cook the water you drink on your own and take the medication they gave

You don't staph through toilet, staph is not an ( STI ), staph lives on the skin as part of the bacterial on the skin, but it becomes a problem when it breaks into the bloodstream if your immune system is low, this can be through injury. Btw, what with the 7 day incubation, it is normally 24 or 48hours. I think you should visit FMC or Sun laboratory for proper lab test.
