aphyz2709:Congrats aphyz2709!! You did well on the tests ![]() The truth is that the best person to help you concerning schools of interest is you or someone who has a similar research interest with yours. I would advise you check online for schools with faculty with areas of research that pique your interest. Then these professors to know the possibility of being a funded research student of theirs. There are some posts on this topic which would guide you on how to them. Simply put, no long stories. Basically just include your profile and interest in a specific research area of theirs in your mail. Also attach you CV and transcript. Also the email subject should read something like this "Spring 2019 Prospective International Graduate Student" Also make use of gradcafe to have an idea which of these schools are ambitious, moderate or safe based on your profile. Another factor that might influence your choice would be the nature of response you get from professors of interest. You might notice you choices would change as you get different responses from faculty . You may not get much positive responses, but keep sending out emails. Keep your options wide. I hope this helps!!! All the best!! ![]() 1 Like 1 Share |

femotechno:Your profile is competitive and a good GRE score of 315 and above (Quant >160) will improve your chances. LOR are also very important and you should start ing your referees if you want to complete all ten applications. |

Hello, I've been quietly reading this thread from the beginning to this point just like I'm still doing with the general USA (students) enquiries thread (Femi 312 suggested I do that, and it's the best thing I've done so far). Pardon me, I have two questions please: First, I want to apply to UT at Austin for next master's ission. The application was opened yesterday for my Advertising course to end December 1 for fall 2019 and I haven't written the GRE yet. If I write it in October, is that okay? Can I still meet up with the application? Second question: Almost everybody here swears on B. Y Mafit in Ikeja. I intend enrolling with them for this reason. My problem now is that I'm a Corps member who has to work 4 times a week save CDS days, and I figured out that the 2 months weekend classes won't do it for me, as it would mean me writing the exam late. What do I do? I'm also looking at other schools offering advertising at graduate level. Thank you. |

Time2Smile: Thanks for your response. I'm not very certain about their funding culture, which is why I seek the opinions of people with better insight. Yours will be much appreciated. |

PhD Studentship - CFD Lab, McGill University : The McGill CFD Laboratory is a leading research facility specializing in the development of state-of-the-art numerical methods for Computational Fluid Dynamics and their applications. The research conducted at the laboratory is in close collaboration with various industrial partners, making it a unique opportunity for those wanting to link theory to application. Current Projects: The laboratory is currently conducting research in three main areas: 1- Fundamental research into Supercooled Large Droplet (SLD) dynamics. The ongoing developments aim at producing numerical experiments of high-speed single droplet impingement, which are then used in generating a numerical database of droplet ensemble behavior. 2- Dynamics of iced helicopters The goal is to develop numerical tools to simulate the multiphysics of rotorcraft subject to in-flight icing: ice accretion and shedding, iced rotors structural dynamics, and optimization of ice protection systems. 3- High-Mach number flows The goal is to develop a unified finite element-based approach for flows ranging from subsonic to hypersonic speeds, including the physics associated with each regime. Available Positions: We are currently seeking highly skilled candidates to fill the following positions: - 1 Student (PhD) to work on Project (1) Requirements: Prior knowledge of SPH, excellent coding skills in FORTRAN. - 2 Students (PhD, Master) to work on Project (2) Requirements: Excellent coding skills in FORTRAN, knowledge of Reduced Order Modeling is an asset. - 2 Students (PhD, Master) to work on Project (3) Requirements: Familiar with high-Mach number non-equilibrium flows, Excellent coding skills in FORTRAN. How to apply: Interested candidates should apply directly to McGill indicating Prof. Wagdi Habashi as their preferred supervisor. Once the list of applicants has been approved by McGill, candidates with relevant experience will be ed for a Skype interview. Application Deadline: September 1st, 2018. https://www.mcgill.ca/gradapplicants/apply https://www.mcgill.ca/gradapplicants/mechanical-engineering-0 2 Likes 1 Share |

aphyz2709:Most of the information about funding is on the schools websites. You need to read the websites thoroughly and garner the information you need. This might require you to read the graduate handbook and also the graduate coordinator. You can go as far as mailing current and former students. You have to do this extensive research before deciding to apply to any school. ission requirements, average GRE score, recommendation letters requirements and other relevant information are also essential to make an informed decision. You will be surprised the invaluable information you can get if you are determined, dogged, and put in the effort. 3 Likes |

Good day to everyone. Please u have some questions and I need your advice. What are the best materials for verbal and quant? How much do they cost? Where can I purchase them (in Lagos) Where can I attend lessons (in lagos)? Or better still who has free recent copies to share. Also I intend writing my GRE by November. Would it be too late but then because the deadline for my prospective University is December 5th. Thanks |

afroxyz:BY Mafit offers tutorial classes. You can google them online. Don't rush to for the exam, but rather make sure you cover at least 80% of the study materials before ing. Check a guru who aced the test, Time2Smile's post for recent study materials. For more materials check libgen.io and piratebay.red |
