Exam is in early August, and I can't complete the entire simulation test without getting tired or bored along the way.

My vocabulary is below average, and my quant is another issue entirely. I should be doing more, but I can't seem to get a hold of myself.

I just want to post this here, so I can get some insight on how you go about studying with discipline, hopefully I can emulate it.

The GRE requires mental strength to tackle it. Trust me, the exam will drain you and automatically, you feel exhausted especially in sections you don't like. That's why you have to take full length practice tests. Don't be discouraged. Just make sure you're progressing by learning new tricks and tips. That way, your score will improve. Later, I will post tips on how to score well in the Quant score.

The word on the street is stay away from all these supposed benevolent offers of a cheap GRE/SAT/TOEFL price.

I can this starting as an offer of help to some test-takers. Later, somehow it has grown to a full fledged business. The ironic part is I can't wrap my head how someone can afford to pay such a very low price for these exams. If it stinks like fraud, it is fraudulent. angry angry angry

To all those ing them, your test scores might be okay right now. How about months from now? Scores can be cancelled at anytime. And you would need to pay again. Please, don't be shortsighted. I am saying this for newbies.

This is one thing people are running away from, nobody wants to ask that question..who is paying for the remaining 50% and how?

Hi Everyone, i hope you all doing fine I know its been ages since i made any post on this thread. To say i've been busy is an understatement.
I got married, had my first child and graduated with an Msc in Computer Science in May, 2018. I no go lie, America has been nice to me but i give thanks to God for all the blessings.

I am just writing to let everyone know that no matter what challenge you are currently going through in your life, it's just a temporary situation. Have faith, work hard, keep a positive mindset and God will see you through.

I understand the content of the original post of this thread may require an update. I would try my best to update it. At the same time, please be aware it's been ages since i wrote the GRE and i may not have the latest tips and tricks. Still, i believe the fundamentals remain the same.

Lastly, i want to say a big Thank you to all those who still come to this thread to share valuable information. Na una be the real MVP. May God continue to bless you all.

P.S: Does any know where a copy of the latest edition of Official GRE Book is sold in Nigeria? Preferably Lagos or Warri?
Thanks.

I will be expecting that also... I need to push my Quant up to 160 & above... I have tried different test simulations and my score has been 158 on average (162 on rare occasions). This practice test include but not limited to Magoosh, Kaplan, Manhattan, Gre Galvanized... I want to focus more on the Quant section, I have just one week left to my exam so please drop that banger that will make me avoid those silly mistakes that is insidiously degrading my score. I am fed up of that verbal section, the highest I've got is 151.. I want to focus more on the Quant

When I complain 3 people didn’t pay in Naira did you respond ? So I don’t have any words with you.

If they have payment issues it most be from my previous payment which I cancelled when those people didn’t but pay in Naira and If they haven’t seen their result why cnt they tAlk to me ? Instead of coming here to make unnecessary drama.

YOU CAN SOLVE THE PROBLEM FOR HIM DUDE!! And Don’t unban me keep it to yourself dude...
I wrote my exam today. No issue. But the score will not be reported because of the payment issue. I sent you a mail. But I haven't gotten any reply from you. Let me know the way forward please

Guys please here is my profile
Undergraduate (microbiology) CGPA 4.4/5 WES (3.58/4)

Masters (Virology) PhD grade. Don't have the exact CGPA as I'm still processing the transcript.

Publication : 1
Another is currently been peer reviewed. But these are bacterial related. Still working on my virology msc thesis manuscript.

Work experience : 3 years during my msc with other researchers

I intend applying for a PhD in virology.

GRE /TOEFL will be written in October. Don't know how to yet.

Any hope for funding with these stats? What schools should I be looking at with good virology programs?

Target schools now are;
University of Rochester
Case Western University
I need the ones with sure funding. I don't mind the school ranking.

Work has been intense. I try to make out 2hours daily to prep for gre. Are there smart ways to prep?

Again, Must I write professors before applying?

Thanks guys!

Good news that the GRE requirement for your area of interest is being removed by most schools so you have options and a big chance!!!

Start ing faculties with similar research area. You have a good profile i.e a good GA coupled with some research experience, don't limit yourself only to the schools you have stated above. You truly have many options.
