Super Eagles's Odion Ighalo, says he takes full repsonsibilities for the team's loss at yesterday's match against Argentina.

The Nigerian team crashed out of the world cup after they failed to beat the Argentinian team.

Ighalo missed a few chances to score goals that could have secured a win for the Nigerian team.

In a chat with TheCable, Ighalo says he takes full responsibility for the loss of the match and has already apologised to his teammates.

'

'I apologise to Nigeria. I apologise to my team mates. I take responsibility for this game because I had taken those chances I had that would have made it a different ball game now. But that is football and life has to continue.

“It’s a sad day for me, the boys and the country because we went out in a bad manner and we deserved more in the gam. We had a penalty in the game and another one which the referee did not give. I missed a couple of chances that would have finished the game but that’s football because sometimes you win and sometimes to lose.”

I dont think the problem is ighalo,even he himself knows that he isn't good ,the problem is the coach ,why introduce ighalo early in the 2nd half when a player like iwobi was on the bench. I told ppl before that match that if ighalo is made to start any of the halves we will lose,he doesn't contribute anything to the team apart from conceding unnecessary fouls and free kicks

But Iwobi played against Croatia and did not contribute much. Let us say the truth, your players lacked purpose and motivation. They actually never believed they could win the cup. Look at Argentina players. They had a purpose which is to win the cup. You could see it in the field. That 90 minutes was a battle ground for the Argentines.
