How do people charge their inverters? And how do some companies and homes have electricity 24/7 ? This car will charge from 0-100 within 8-10 hours on 220-240v so what's the big deal? That will give u 335 miles range which is enough to move round the city for a week {I don't even expect the owner to use this as a daily driver so might even last for more than a week). It's even less work since that the normal voltage we have in this country. Just plug the damn car overnight just like people plug their phones overnight.

Not talking 110v. 3 hours wont charge this thing. When connected to 240v power it will charge at the range of 31 miles per hour which is around 9-10 hours for a full charge on the S 100D

As soon as manufacturing is diversified in this auto sector, gas stations will be replaced by micro power stations.

Am I seeing a patent opportunity here?

Tech adoption may be slow but we'll definitely get there

I am quite sure the owner has one mikano generator or an alternate means of charging the Tesla. It's a good thing taking the first step. Just wondering how much customs charged him for clearing the vehicle?
And also how safe would the car be in a lightning storm?

Foolish black mentality/folks! All in the guise of show-boating... I wonder if he'll have to ship it back to California for maintenance and repairs.. grin. There's a reason why it's ONLY for the U.S market (at least for now). Not even in Europe, Asia or South Africa where Elon Musk (Tesla founder & CEO) is originally from.

At least u go use ur generator at home to charge it and ur generator go need fuel. My greatest pity for this man is the mechanic, by the time kazeem dealt with him, he will know that he is driving tester not Tesla.

You got some serious 9ja mentality issues, dude! What's the excitement about in someone driving an economical vehicle in an un-economic atmosphere / environment. What's the 'value-added' to our society? It's gonna cost him at least 75% mark-up of the actual maintenance cost. CRAP!

You can't charge them using the regular home-made electrical output else, you damage the programming. You need special charging stations for these vehicles, bro. which are ONLY available here in the U.S and NOT in any other place in the world which is why they've not gone abroad yet. undecided
