To be honest with you, I don't entirely blame them for their over-estimation of their own abilities and achievements. I think that due to their humiliating Civil War defeat, they developed an inferiority complex which unfortunately has become very deep-seated. As a show of sympathy toward their plight, a lot of Yorubas and others from various ethnicities started over-praising them in an attempt to help soothe the agony of their defeat, but unfortunately this created another problem because they actually started believing that they're better than everybody else. They started looking down on others, misinterpreting the humility exhibited by others toward them as weakness. To their sick minds, they are the only 'industrious' people, the only people that aren't lazy. But all that crap is starting to backfire because even the Northerners won't take their shyt any longer hence their recent ultimatum.

You can't depend on other regions for survival while calling them names and forming superiority. Yorubas have been too diplomatic with them, to the extent that their excesses in our space has become intolerable. This thread in a way is a response and a backlash meant to correct the mistakes of some of our elders who encouraged them in the face of their blatant propaganda and over-estimation of their own importance. It is sending a STRONG and EMPHATIC message to them that they should quit deceiving themselves into thinking that they're the shyt, coz they ain't shyt , and that we are in FIRM CONTROL of our own space (no contest).
