An indigenous firm, B.G Technical Limited, has opened the first Pipeline, Pigs and Accessories Factory in West Africa. The factory is expected to conserve and generate foreign exchange for Nigeria especially at this period of meagre oil revenue, as it would help provide quality products for the maintenance of pipelines so as to prolong life span and reduce cases of pipeline rupture as well as leakages. With the factory commissioned, it will bring an end to the importation of pipeline pigging products, boost availability of quality products and help preserve foreign exchange earnings for both operators and the federal government. The commissioning of the factory in Owerri, Imo State was performed by the Acting Executive Secretary of Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB) who was represented by Tunde Adelana. Adelana who is the Director, Monitoring and Evaluation at NCDMB, said the opening of the multi- billion Naira pipeline, pigs and accessories factory for the production of quality pigging pipeline products is yet another evidence and validation that the efforts of the board is paying off in real in the oil and gas industry. He described the event as another attestation to the fact that Nigerians can develop the required industry capability once the enabling environment is in place and assured that the board will continue to B.G Technical and other local companies in their efforts at acquiring additional capacities. “The opening of the factory is indeed worthy of celebration. Looking back at the years of pre-NOGICD Act, investors like B.G Technical would probably not be able to compete in the area of pigging services due to the preponderance of foreign goods and services,” he said. http://www.thetidenewsonline.com/2016/04/18/first-pipeline-pigging-factory-opens-in-owerri/ 7 Likes |

Pwayne2016: You get dividends of your effort after a while as the system has to be prepared. His predecessors did not lay solid foundation but his own foundation is beginning to yield desired fruits in his 2nd tenure and I believe this is a tip of the iceberg on what is to come later. 11 Likes 1 Share |

This is what is expected of a SE governor. Improve the lives of the people instead of fighting for backward vested interests in the murky waters of Abuja politics. 15 Likes |

Abagworo: wheather it goes well or not doesn't matter.. its very important that we have such institutions and industries..,never privatize your banks, army, security, water and other important areas... in this era whe don't even need crude oil no more... nigeria can start building electric cars...but we are still far from that... atleast we should be self sufficient in oil products till we reach the stage for other innovations... 7 Likes |

SE Governors need to create enabling environments for business in the region. Igbos have every thing it takes to transform SE to a trade and industry hub of west and central Africa. But governors most put politics aside, bring forth good ppp proposals, rally with the millions of Igbo wealthy men home and abroad to invest in this projects. We have every thing it takes to make Alaigbo great. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Pwayne2016: ![]() ![]() ![]() What did he do to be called Okoro Hausa have that man not tried for Owere. All because he doesn't Biafra he is Hausa and Yoruba. Just like how u guys call me Hausa/Yoruba boy here... The develish Nnamdi Kanu that called Jesus an idol and told u he is Okoro Hausa. did he buy you guns to secede from Nigeria if he is real... Did Nnamdi Kanu have any world No ... Did Nnamdi Kanu treat Ipob youth in Ariara Aba Biafra Land 2015... Or even 2016... February. In Aba center town this year No... He didn't do anything with the money... So if Okorocha is a thief, that's means Nnamdi Kanu changing Owere governor's name is also a thief. For taking contributions like budget and ended up like all the Igbo governors.. if you're still deceived by Biafraudd scam and contributions without result watch my video Biafraudd exposed... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHZVm_a4Wk8& (prt1) 2 Likes |

mekonglobal: We will have to drastically reduce or stop completely our wasteful habits of spending so much time and money for feeding, feasting and fucking as Donald Trump is rightly rumoured to have characterised us, black people. We should put the money and time saved therefrom to ensure that all our children are educated to open their minds and positively engage them productively. 1 Like |
