I was surprised when I read the urgly story about ABSU VC yesterday . I actual have a friend as a student who told me few weeks ago that the new VC has transformed the school by stoping lecturers from extorting money from student and also stopped lecturers from selling books . Because during my years in the said school we were living at the mercy of lecturers where if you dnt buy their books you are guaranteed of extending your years of graduation .
The females students were also victims
because lecturers were harassing them .

I think that Obiageli should be investigated for such false information and be summoned to the school senate to find out why.

ABSU is one of the best state university in Nigeria , let no individual or group of persons tarnishes the image.

This is nigeria#people lie on national t.v not to talk abt this issue...na today we knw say all dis schools na money making machines,milking money from poor students

About the issue of Prof. Ikonne being corrupt, I sincerely disagree having known the said man as a DVC under Prof. Ogbuagu. He has always been a man of due process and integrity.

Most if not all SUG presidents are corrupt. Different ugly things happening in school yet they will not stand to fight it because of their selfishness.

As an ex Ikenga, I am ashamed that the SUG President cannot even write a correct simple sentence.

It bedazzles me to imagine that this rebuttal was written by the president of the student union of ABSU charged with representing the views of students.

Furthermore, besides the weak argument that the VC sacked corrupt lectures and therefore cannot be corrupt - which is a non sequitur - no attempt was made to dispel the allegations levelled against the said VC. All I read were threats against the acc and Nairaland! The allegedly corrupt VC and his lapdog - the SUG president - cannot take on Nairaland and the power of its community. We are simply bigger than them!

In addition, the illogicality of his only argument for the integrity of the erudite VC can be further understood by examining the meaning of the word hypocrisy. The VC may be a hypocrite, who knows?

In conclusion, an SUG president is saddled with the primary responsibility of representing and protecting the interests of students. Therefore, I call for his immediate impeachment!!!

All these acs should try get a writenor recorded proof of their claim. Go prepared and cone out with proof so that when they say you lie, you can play the last card and checkup. Until then, I will not choose side.

That is an allegation. My roommate collected her certificate last week and it is only those typing the cert that asked her to pay some money which is not even new, those typists and secretaries always ask for money before they even open your file.

The VC is trying to play the smart card here by using the SUG President who is the top representative of the students to counter the accusation making it seem legit since he (SUG President) was voted to defend the students rights.
But na person wey no sabi Absu go believe this trash written by the betrayer. I know vast number of friends who had to pay large sums of money just for their result to be compiled and cleared for NYSC deployment.
