Do you have a sound educational background like an NCE, B,Sc or PhD?
Do you have money to rent a place depending on how big you want the school?
Have you chosen the name of the school?
Registration and environmental friendly wothy
Can you pay teachers? At least one Bsc holder and maybe more NCe and many HND holders

Pls make sure you understand your mission properly. Did you say u wono touch lives or you want to run a school business? Pls have a clear vision.

NB: running a school is capital intensive, frm rent, salary, power, facilities, to security etc are capital intensive, but however, it could be very lucrative. Set ur vision proerly, decide the model of sch u want.

aunty if u are planning to touch lives, find the nearest school and apply as a teacher there,
except u dey plan to use 1 bedroom flat do primary 1 to primary 6, with u and your extended family as teachers

It depends on what you mean by a beginner.
But to begin with, if you must get a loan, you have to make yourself more attractive to lenders by being very prepared and knowledgeable about your business and about your business plan.

I guess that's the purpose of this thread. You're not alone in this as I am observing and following up.

First off, you need to start from the scratch.

Creche/ Kindergarten.

Secondly, you need a very neat and conducive environment.

Thirdly, You will have to invest a lot on furnitures..


Now you may ask anything you'd like to know on those three points.

On getting pupils, It will always depend on two factors.

1.....Your location.

In any brick and mortar business, I.e businesses that require physical presence. High foot fall plays a major role in it's success or failure. That means the place most be easily accessible like on the main road or on a busy street.

2......Relationships.

Your existent relationships will determine how quickly you will get kids enrolled.
Some parents might require you to do a little bit of convincing while other won't hesitate to hand over their child to you based on the fact that they already trust you.

Nope..
I won't suggest you get a loan from the bank. But if you can from Family and friends then it's okay..


A loan from financial institutions is only ideal when the school has shown good growth potentials.

The biggest challenge you'll have besides financial constraints is trying to convince parents to patronize your school. You have to exhibit a high level of professionalism and standards for them to be fully convinced.

Your price too should be very reasonable.

Most importantly, a good or bad location can make or mar your business. So finding an excellent location can also be a challenge cuz you don't want just any place.

It differs from State to State, as regulations differ, Urban schools are easy to market but expensive as per capital budget rural schools have access to cheap land.
It also vary with the levels i.e a Nursery school may not require more than 5 classrooms for approval, a primary school may require as much as 10,...

My point being is there a standard number of classes for approval?
