My humble from laurets college...
The interview started at about 9:30am, first, we were given a form that contains questions which are aimed at evaluating one's teaching experiences. because, the questions are centred on Teacher-student relation, Teacher-parents relation, Teacher-taecher relation, Classroom management amongst others. However, it's noteworthy to mention dt doz questions are to be answered directly inside that same booklet containing the questions.
The second part, we were given that are specific to the posts we're applying for. For example, if you're applying for Biology, you'll be given Biology questions to answer. These questions are standard SSCE questions. It's a theoretical question, consisting of 4 main questions which are further divided into other sub-questions. e.g Question no1 may have 1(a) which may also contain 1(a) i-iii, 1(b)i-iii,1(c)i-iii,1(d)i-iii, To question no 4. The questions ain't really difficult because they are purely S.S. 3 questions or even a WAEC past question. Speaking with respect to the Biology questions which I answered o.
The third aspect is the critical reasoning aspect. You wana think it's something difficult? Not at all! It was based on d story of a fisherman who caught a hand-glove instead of fish. Here, we were asked to write an essay in a view to critically analyse the situation and to point out the morals of the story.
Next was the oral interview. This oral interview method varies for different applicants; some were asked to do a micro-teaching after which they were asked questions based on wat they taught. For others, it was purely a question & answer segment. You can guess what mine would be. Lol!
In my own case, the principal of the school particularly took delight in throwing questions at me. These, I answered in my usual convincing manner. From his questions, I could sense that he's a science inclined person hence his ability to arm-twist my answers to beget subsequent questions.
In conclusion, it was also another unforgettable interview experience. I must confess, that I'm more than impressed with their organisational ingenuity. It's really a big school that is situated in a serene environment.
Worthy of acknowledgement are the many nairalanders whom we met there. Some, I can't their name. You guys displayed an unrivalled spirit of brotherhood. May Heavens answer our prayers in ds coming new year.
Lest I 4get,many heartily thanks to the OP of this wonderful thread. The poster of different jobs here, the various esteemed contributors. And to those silent followers, who only to claim any available job posted without giving s, Una case dey court o. Lol!
And to my wonderful friend evathyst(Bisola) who couldn't attend because she doesn't want to compete with me. Lol! U did miss a lot of adventure.
One love everybody!
I know say them go take you. I no dey fear. Dr, Don yarn am say, peeps are going to shout amen before the year runs out.

Re: from Laureates College It was a very wonderful experience most especially to be privileged to attend. Nothing different from what my fellow Nairalander have just shared above. The Interview were in two stages: Written and Oral. At the point of arrival each Applicant were given Attendance sheet to their names and in between thi time the Principal of the School emphasised that each Applicant should only their Subject Area(I.e:Specialised(Relevant teaching Subject relating to their discipline). Soon after this,we were randomly grouped to different classes to write the Test. Just immediately after the Test we were refreshed with a Can Malta Guiness to douse our tension of which I never expected this from the School Management. This is amazing! Many thanks to them anyway for their Hospitality and nice treat. Mention would not be made without the School Principal humble gesture. He is so down to heart and friendly too. The high point of todays interview Session was that it was based on the premise of equity and fairness without any biased or prejudice(s). On getting to the Oral interview proper different Applicants were being asked different questions in different style .The lesson I learnt in todays Interview was that of CSR Question that I was asked to answer in the Questionare given to us at the early stage of the Interview which taint and sharpened my knowledge that a School is also a part of the Larger Society benefitting from them and they must be ready to give back to this Society in returns as well in order to make the World a better place for all and Sundry to live in. I have no doubt that this School had involved in Community Social Responsibility Services.Honestly, this is going to be the very first School that I would ever had of such. In conclusion, the Principal painstakingly responded to me that they will get back on/by Friday. Many thanks to OP of this thread, you have been so 'toodaful'.Also my greatest appreciation to: Golden Dr.Laurel P,Profsday,Givemejoy,..et al of this outstanding page. On this note I wish you all and other Nairalanders Happy and Prosperous New Year in Advance!

All in all, it was a wonderful interview experience. All I look forward to now is to get called up for resumption. Phew! I'll dance terry G on this thread.

The workload at Laureates is quite demanding. The mass recruitment is quite baffling because the subjects d still have teachers currently teaching them, except they resigned in the course of this Christmas break. I wish everyone the best in this new year.

In the words of Prof.gday, teaching is not for the weak hearted.
If you work in the school I teach, you can work "anywhere", why? When teachers resign, you are going to take the subjects provided it related to your discipline. For instance, if three teachers resign and they teach Agric, Basic Science and chemistry, bros, you go take the three subjects pending when they get a new teacher.
Imagine the lesson note, setting of questions and marking not to mention you are always under pressure to perform because the students, teachers and parents will evaluate you.
Sir, tell me, what is more demanding than the points I have highlighted above?

Proactive school s will not wait for teachers to resign before making plans. Some also in order to have a pool of employable graduates in their data base, so that whenever a teacher leaves they will just the applicants on the data base.
Laureates College is a wonderful place to work, they will definitely bring out the best in you. I worked there for 8 years and rose to the position of the Vice Principal, before leaving to do my own thing. I must tell you that the experience gained at LC is awesome.
