egunna: God Bless You and your Comments. Do we Obey laws in Nigeria? NO,! For we always looked for how to Circumvent the Laws In Nigeria. The Very People - who are Unpatriotic Are the Ones, now shouting ' Nigeria Is Zoo' Nigeria Is Not Good ' etc, when you can't obey Simple Tinted -Car -Glasses. - When Una Governors- Refused To Obey The Supreme Courts Judgement - that ALL THE STATES SHOULD OPEN A SEPERATE S FOR THEIR LOCAL GOVT- TO PAY IN THEIR MONEY 🤑. BUT TILL NOW, NOTHING DE HAPPENS. Rather, they Are Using ALGON to fight the Supreme Court. -Don't Worry - Judiciary Is Waiting For Everyone - to do the Right Things and Una Cry will not Work at that time! Then,Una go resort to Blackmail everywhere. 1 Like |

If private cars stop for the kid's school buses, will danfos, Keke's etc stop for them?. Forget it bro, I say this and will continue to do so, any government that can successfully REFORM the Nigerian police has solved 80% of our problems.

It's the law for all vehicles to fully stopped when the school bus stop sign is on 😎

Local man! That is how you recognize them when they just arrived obodo oyinbo! Commonsensically, are vehicles suppose to be moving when the STOP sign is fully displayed and you can see kids hopping into the bus or crossing the road? This is thesame kind of people that when they return to Nigeria, ask them to follow little protocol, they will be making unnecessary noise shouting in overseas, it’s not done like that. The issue is, did you obey the laws whenever you are in Nigeria. |

What they do in Qatar is much better. Thy don't park straight, they park diagonally in a manner that blocks the road.

EvilMerodack:He is right. The governmess are to make and enforce laws regarding Traffic rules and Safety. Most motorists do not only break traffic rules, they drive like wild animals. Market women who place their goods too close to the main road is another problem. 1 Like |

EvilMerodack:and that's why u citizens are also dragging roads with ambulance that they suppose be giving free access road for lives safety? Government really need to stand on some laws and strict on it. Not that u will make law, police will be using it to milk citizens. |

EvilMerodack:The comment is not OFF. it's germane. It is government legislation that makes for law and order in the society. If the state or national assembly so legislate and the executive signs into law, the law enforcement agencies pick that up. Defaulters would go in for it. So, hold the government able for societal chaos and disorder. The government includes your clueless elected legislators. 2 Likes |

EvilMerodack: The government actually enforces the traffic laws around school buses in these nations, not the private schools. The school buses are government owned and controlled. Fines from disobeying school bus stop signs start from a couple of hundred dollars in some areas in Georgia - once caught one. Those signs have cameras on them that capture your tag and the ticket is automatically sent to your house showing pictures of your car disobeying the law as proof. You end up paying the fine to the city, which is still the government. Some school districts have school police too that tracks your speed in that area, usually around 30-35 miles per hour. Drive above that and get a ticket from the school police. All that is to protect the kids. So, it's not the private schools that control how the school bus system works or other violations in school districts. 2 Likes |

People who can't even obey simple rules and regulations are now the loudest voices. Those who see every law as an attack on them, and who travel abroad only to break laws with impunity, are suddenly speaking on national progress. For Nigeria to truly grow and develop, every citizen must take responsibility and play their part.

Glimpsetv:In Nigeria, one idiot will zoom past the bus. We just like to point accusing fingers at the leaders. The people are worse. How do you explain a supposed normal human disregarding the red traffic light? People that don't like to obey simple rules. Always in a hurry to nowhere, but the president is the scapegoat they try to blame for everything. When I become the president, you'll be hanged for driving one way or beating the red light, thrown to jail for making calls while driving. |

[quote author=EvilMerodack post=135505753] Your comment is totally off. Na Government wan dey tell private schools how dem go dey operate their school buses? Are the citizens that worse that they can't innovatively come up with something special, for even their own private Business? Great question!!. So kindly ask the federal government what business it has with LIVESTOCK to give it a MINISTRY. Maybe if the ijaws make enough noise,we will soon pacify them MINISTRY of FISHERY. 😂🤪 |

Canada has a population of 40 million, with an annual budget of $455 billion. Nigeria has a population of 250 million, with an annual budget of $35 billion. Expecting services in Nigeria to be of the same standards as Canada is currently unrealistic. 1 Like |
