birdman:It's an indictment on the league if Curry, Durant and LeBronze are still trying to win rings. This is the natural order and the likes of SGA, Antman, Hali, Brunson and Co are supposed to slam that door shut 1 Like |

birdman: What Alex Caruso was doing for not guarding anyone though, basically just pulling and the refs allowing him to get away with it. |

A40: It's time for Russ to retire sincerely and of course MPJ should be out the door immediately. Gordon played with injury and still showed up than that Mickey mouse. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I think the NBA right now is in a good place. New faces, hungrier teams and the total uselessness of superteams which Lebron, Curry and Durant personified. This is not to take a shot at their individual greatness, definitely not. But before them, was basketball. After them, will be basketball. I am deifying nobody. I just want to see basketball in it's purest form. SO PLAY BALL! I all teams except the Pacers in these finals.

birdman:Lol. You all are quick to say the East was injured last year, forgetting we were without Porzingis' until the finals. You won't be spending your time talking if you don't care though. |

This OKC team is wild. They made Jokic look uninterested in Basketball ![]() I am rooting for them to come out of the West. |

larride: He didnt do anything wrong. Folks just not used to hard nosed playoff bball anymore. What type of pull can Caruso use on Jokic? |

I thought the Thunder would start slow after that 7 game series with the Nuggets. Grossly underestimated the power of youth SGA recovered from that mid first half But this might be a short series. Timberwolves got away with some average basketball last two series. If Antman plays so inconsistent then it might be a gentleman sweep 1 Like 1 Share |

This OKC no get one single liability on defense. Everyone top to bottom is an above average defender

See cries everywhere about SGA drawing fake fouls. Omo people salty die...lol. Interestingly, I hated harden for this same thing, so maybe I can understand 2 Likes |

A40:If Antman plays his best basketball, it is still going to be a gentle man's sweep. Not when 2 of the first team, Gobert and Conley are average players. Naz Reid and Divincenzo are more threatening offensively and defensively. |

The timberwolves are gonna get swept. I still maintain that they aren't a spectacular team and only managed to beat the warriors because steph got injured in game 1, which was coincidentally the only game they lost..... 2 Likes 1 Share |

The Pacers are pushing the pace of this game. Defense has been optional for both teams. |

This feels like karma for that pacer fan getting beaten in nyc. wow ![]() |

Pacers are an itch that needs to go away, permanently.

Roland17: A number of important players got into foul trouble relatively early. These Pacers are dangerous in that their best player gets his points completely within the floor of the offense and they are deep. Halliburton can actually be minimised to being a catch and shoot player and still be effective. Brunson on the other hand is dribbling the air out of the ball and having to fight through different defensive looks like a swimmer fighting through deep sea waves. By games 4-5 his body might break down. 1 Like |

afrodoc: I have always maintained that R. Carlisle remains one of the most intelligent coaches out there, especially in late game situations. The Pacers did something my Celtics were able to do only ONCE and that is to force Brunson to play defense. He gets in foul trouble anytime he is forced to play defense on the other side. The Knicks are not used to this pace Indiana is pushing. I mean these cats push the offense from an inbound, like no second to even bounce the ball after the Knicks make a bucket. A part of me loved watching the Knicks suffer the same fate my Celtics suffered after leading by double digits. Also, the Halliburton disrespect has to stop because this man is a baller. He shows up during tough moments. It may not be flashy but he reads the court pretty well, focuses more on helping his team move the ball and makes timely shots. He isn’t built to be the highest or volume scorer for the Pacers and it works but make no mistake, man deserves more respect. Watching Neismith’s development feels good because he was such a terrible 3 point and free throw shooter with us. He has always been a great 1v1 defender but Carlisle has unlocked his offense. 2 Likes |

@A40, did you see game 1 of the Oilers v Stars? What a come back by the Stars. Their power play offense is about the best in the league because they are direct and force the issue. This Stars look like they want it all. RIP Jim Irsay. |

Roland17: I agree on Carlisle's intelligence. But this game was more about Knicks getting scared and leaving Brunson to shoulder all the offense in the last 3 minutes. That and prayer 3s that fell for the pacers. Fundamentally Knicks are a better team, even with all the rotations Carlisle tried 1 Like 1 Share |

birdman: But isn’t that how the Knicks have played all season, especially in the final minutes of games? They are heavy on Brunson ISOs. They are not exactly doing anything different from what they have done all postseason. While the Knicks have better players, I believe the Pacers have a deeper roster with better 1v1 ball defenders. They also play a style that exposes the Knicks. |

A not-so-spectacular team can win too. The circumstances just have to be right. This is one of those. Hate on them, but not too much. ![]() They don't take us down with Curry playing. I don't know if anyone would disagree with that. I thought we could win it all until Curry went down. If Ant and those guys are any serious, they would realize this could be the easiest run to a championship and do well to make that a reality. Calm down they still have one more chance to get one game away from home. Skrrrrrrr: 1 Like 1 Share |

Roland17:Ol boy. That Stars team bloody oh. The way they came back against the Avs in Game 7 na him fear me. I would be very shocked if it's not a Stars vs Panthers final. Panthers look like a potential back to back candidate cos I have difficulty seeing who beats them. They were already a ridiculously deep team then they now added Marchand a battle tested vet. No wonder I saw Irsay trending I thought he had done or said something crazy again. This life sha. 65 is still pretty young |

That Pacers vs Knicks was the greatest display of never quit basketball I ever seen. 9 points in 52 seconds. How is that even possible? The record previously was like 0-970 or something like that. Nesmith. Not even Steph has ever gotten that hot. I still cannot believe what I witnessed. Remains to be seen how the Knicks pick themselves up now. That was a crushing loss Carlisle serving a coaching masterclass with that team. They know their strengths and they play to it to the absolute max That team and OKC are a huge indictment on the Nuggets GM 1 Like 1 Share |
