The Moment Police Shot 14-Year-Old Boy In Ibadan (Graphic Video) (26702 Views)
FireUpNow(m): 10:00am On May 22 |
CoronaVirusPro: The best the police officer should have done was to try to make sure that the boy's father was apprehended and not by releasing a bullet. No matter what, the man in question didn't fire a gun to begin with. I will never the police officer for shooting, the officer sis very wrong. |

If u like say anything, if police stop u and u fail to stop, they have the right to fire a warning shot, see how the man dey drive like mad person. Common sense would have prevented this 1 Like |

inoki247:💯 That man has failed as a father, and he will give to God. We are not even saying you should be law-abiding, but a reasonable man knowing the country you are in, and knowing you had your children in the car, and armed police on ground, should have stopped that wild chase immediately. I can't believe he kept driving like a mad man cos he was trying to escape. Your children are in the car!!!! Yes he would be in a lot of trouble, but his son would not have been killed, had he just done the reasonable thing which was stop the madness. He gambled with the life of his child. He and the useless popo killed that boy..and he will still get arrested...he should get arrested. How will a father risk the lives of three children like that? If na him alone, I no go even mind say he wan show say he gets skushies for head, but with kids in the back seat? Nah! He didn't care about the safety of his children and gambled with all their lives. He is not fit to be called a father 4 Likes |

superlanny: Even in the other political parties, what's the difference? Nigeria needs total rehabilitation and revolution. It's not about political parties or individuals. |

Gbadugbakun: Are you saying that his act of stupidity and stubbornness for simply braking traffic rule should lead him to the firing squad? Nigerian youths, how do you people reason? |

Thomthom: I pray Nigeria will not happen to anyone. Having done a reckless act like that while his children are in the car with him, he will forever live to regret that day bro. A single stopping would have avert the death of that boy. The police officer that shot fire is another case but that man triggered all of this here. Don't drag with police wey get mental issues as we know. Your safety first in all. 2 Likes |

Both the father and the shooter should be prosecuted for murder

The man's wife, if she is alive and living with the man will taunt him and finish him. It would take a special Grace of God for the man's wife to forgive him. The man contributed to the death of his son. I don't argue with any uniformed armed personnel in Nigeria. I simply hail them, praise them and drop small Roger to them and disappear while on the road. I travelled down to the East and spent close to 35k on police and check points just to keep moving as I had my whole family in the vehicle. I didn't want any delay or unnecessary argument that could keep us late on the road. The man will live to regret that very day. I feel for him.

Gbadugbakun: I'm in with your comment. You refused to stop the vehicle with your son inside. Driving like that alone is a huge risk to himself, his son and other road s. As for the police he shouldn't have fired. We watch police chase traffic offenders in western world. They chase you till the end. They don't shot. My conclusion, the police will be set free after a few months. His defense will be that he thought the guy was an armed robber since he refused to stop. The father caused the death of his own son. He should be jailed. 1 Like |

The father has some blames too. You have your children inside the car and you're doing racing with their lives. Why exactly is he driving one way, why not stop and explain your situation to them.

This is so unfortunate an innocent child was killed due to an irresponsible father's action and an unprofessional authority. The government should be ashamed as there are no measures put in place for such traffic behaviour. In a more saner countries, you will think twice before you violate any traffic laws. So disheartening!!! |

inoki247:The father has 80% of blame Sir. He crashed on the officers' car, reverse, manouvered and sped off. He crashed in the second car, reversed, manouvered and sped off. He crashed on the police van, reversed, manouvered and sped off. He crashed on the elbow of the drainage, manouvered with force and his car bumber flew away, yet he didn't bother. That is exactly the same way kidnappers will do to escape. In the spiritual realm, he would be the first to take the blame 1 Like |

Rebuker:This is a big lesson to all short-cut ones out there, no amount of prosecution will bring the boy back to life. most Nigerians are crazy road s, instead of tolerating 10 - 15 minutes go slowl, they will drive madly and end up spending hours in a jam. I just imagine when FRSC was asking for licence to carry arms.... |

Nchenches: There was no roadblock in this case . Not only was he driving against traffic route but was doing so in high speed almost having a heading collision with the road safety officers vehicles and as if that was not enough,he ran into the police men , hit and cleared everything by the roadside even almost crashing the police van and yet that wasn't enough for somebody driving a tinted car ....what exactly was he running away from without regards to the lifes if the children he was carrying |

almayda:the whole situation is unfortunate, but I have little or no blames for the police man. If you no like noise when cooking, don't buy soup ingredients on credit. This is the price the father has paid for lawlessness. If he had stopped, all these won't be happening. He was even driving James bond with constituted authority. So if every traffic offender is left to do as pleased, what wud be d outcome?if you are coming to equity, come with clean hands. The police man did not aim at the boy, he aimed at the tyre and missed. They are two different things. If you must come to equity, pls come with clean hands. It's not always dat we insult the police, what did you do?unfortunately we live in an era when ppl are more interested in reporting the situation than salvaging it. 1 Like |

So a traffic violation requires shooting the driver ? The drive was being defensive the mode of ambush was with extreme prejudice, I would do same too , they looked lie kidnappers

The father and the police officer just wasted this boy's life for nothing, everything nor be gragra. There's a parable in my language that says "animal wey carry children nor dey run from war" There're some habits you do away with immediately you become a parent, don't risk the lives of your family trying to prove a point. Some years back in school one student insulted our hostel security man, the man just laughed and said "if na before I for don light (shoot) this boy" Our security man is a retired armed robber, we heard lots of stories about him from people of the community....Na family wey he don get make the guy change. 1 Like |
