On this season's performance alone, Ballon Dor mention is a stretch for Osim. Unfortunately, the Turkish league can't be compared to the EPL where Salah has excelled this season. Hopefully if he can head back to Italy or the EPL and he has another bumper harvest of goals, then ballon d'or could be in sight.

The vast majority of you here think he is the best striker in the world or close to it.

However, you have a duplicity of top European clubs who have essentially, "Put your money where your mouth is" and don't agree.

Because none of these top clubs are offering him what he wants or killing themselves to get him. That in itself says something about how they presumably see him and or rate him. This view is held by the majority of top clubs apart from us here, the fans .

First of Salah moved from a position as a traditional winger to the more modern inverted forward player. In Roma playing as a traditional winger he scored 14 goals first season and 15 goals second season he was 22. He was actually doing better than VO.

In 2017/18 Salah was 24 when he scored 32 Goals in the EPL and got the golden boot, FACT .

In 2022/23 VO scored 27 goals in Seria A , prior to that time he had never scored more than 14 league goals in his career. He had never been a top goal scorer at this stage and he was 24.

The other issue is Salah is more technically astute and adaptable in that he can play multiple positions across the front three.

VO is a quintessential number 9 and that's it , he is not adaptable to play as a winger inverted or otherwise in my opinion.

You’re mistaking Net from Gross. Net is after all the deductions and taxes while gross is prior to deductions. Anyway, a player like osimhen based on his antecedents deserves to earn similar to what Haaland is earning. But, if a particular club isn’t trying to break their wage structure for any single player, that rule should apply towards everyone at that club

I don’t think they rate osimhen as highly as Nigerians Rate him. Obviously, they believe that he is a Good striker but they don’t rate him as highly as mbappe or Haaland because if haaland was presently available, Chelsea will break that wage structure for haaland. Osimhen just needs to sign for a bigger club, excel and subsequently he would be offered a much better contract.
