Forgive yourself for mes your savings.

Forgive the best shops and company for not allowing you to win.

Stop thinking of revenge mission i.e to win back what you have lost.

Be determined to move on and start all over again.

Bro, I can really imagine the pain you're going through. Gambling addiction, like other addictions. Be it drugs, porn, or even excessive masturbation, is not something easy to overcome. But the fact that you’ve opened up about it here, despite knowing how toxic this forums can get sometimes, shows one thing clearly: you truly want to change. And that's the first major step.

First, understand this: gambling addiction is not just a habit. It’s a form of mental struggle, and it often needs more than just willpower. One of the most important things is to let go of the belief that you’ll strike it big one day. That mindset keeps many people trapped.

Avoiding the environment that triggers you is also crucial. If that bet shop is always pulling you in, consider switching to another POS location—even if it’s further away. It might seem small, but removing the temptation helps a lot.

You might also want to consider ing a group—there are a few Nigerian-based communities online that focus on quitting gambling. A good place to start is following someone like @Lobbystars on Twitter. He organizes sessions where people share their strategies for quitting and staying clean.

Also, try to stay active—mentally and physically. Idle time is dangerous. Even something as simple as regular exercise or learning a skill online can help shift your focus.

You’re not alone in this. And you’re definitely not beyond help. Keep pushing, stay honest with yourself, and don’t be ashamed to seek help ,even professional help if you can afford it. You still have time to rebuild, especially now that NYSC is ending.

Wishing you strength and healing, bro. You can overcome this.

Thanks alot boss...I follow lobistar on X,was at his X space yesterday.

I always loose money to virtual, there's this betkiing shop opposite my street, they do other businesses like POS transactions, anytime I go there to withdraw money, I'd end up playing virtual bets.

Lost 30k today, lost 22k on Wednesday...I've been loosing my hard earned money for 2yrs nw in that same betshop.

I'll be rounding up with NYSC next month, no single savings.... I'm tired, dunno how to stop.😩😩
.do not go to the betking shop pos to withdraw money again...go to another shop or pos center where they do not do betting

never play virtual games
restrict urself to real football bets, reduce ur stake to 10 naira to 50 naira
gradually, u will hate the idea
though I took the risk to bet 200k on 6 draws in 2023, I made over 10m and quickly built a 3 bedroom bungalow with it,
now I don't stake more than 50 naira on a ticket and maybe 500 naira per day total
I won 500k with 100 naira last month
ur greed is the problem here plus the kind of bet u play

I won't deceive you it's not easy to stop gambling addiction or any form of addiction once but rather you can replace it with another to take your mind away from gambling.

1. Change your friends, especially those who bet or play virtual games like you avoid them for they are the real enemy.

2. Avoid certain location or shops, they are several POS outlets, it's a not a must you go to the one nearby or close to betting shop. Take your mind and soul far from the betking shop close to u.

3. Don't be greedy, you want to double your money by chance, trust me I have been there the end doesn't really goes as planned. Always know there's no shortcut to making money, and they are there to collect from you and with no intention of increasing your money. Your loss is there gain, wise up.

4. Try new things like go out with friends who have sense take one or two bottle of cold beer, buy clothes for yourself na your money. Sometimes buy expensive things for yourself. Let enjoyment comes first, the money you waste on virtual can really do more good for you. Engage yourself in activities no stay one place may virtual no breed for your head. Joblessness self dey cause many things like betting. Above all bro, the stage go , one love.

Firstly, ask for forgiveness and pray against it and ask God for help to help you overcome it. That will sort the spiritual aspect of it in case it’s has anything to do with dark spiritual forces.

Another advice I will give you is to avoid using the POS stand that is in front of the place, then tell yourself this has to stop or you reduce it drastically if you must try.

Like 5 hundred a day maximum.

Burnt over a million in the first 5 days of this month, Let's not talk of till date.
I never tried virtual, i usually stick to normal bets but as I say make I even try small adventures for virtual it was fun but in the end, you lose. Yeah I won a lot of money but when I did my plus and minus, it was just a roller-coaster that burns time (THE TIME WASTED IS THE WORST PART) and accumulation of sleepless nights because SOME NIGHTS money just pump in like magic and you can't sleep cos you have to follow the lucky streak. Finally, No gain there in virtual bets. Too much stress.

I will not tell anyone to stop betting because I have made money from bets. If ever you want to bet, bet on an actual event played by humans and do not ever try anything VIRTUAL no matter how much you feel you understand the game. Na lie.

If no be game wey I fit see on TV (football & Basketball) I no dey do. But PLEASE OH stay away from it if you have ZERO CONTROL of your emotions and senses.
Those who created Virtual added AI so it favours the house.

That's why even betting on a two-way event, you can have as much as 20 losing runs.

Its very simple , go and open an with any of the banks , give them order to debit certain amount once it enters your . set the new that is being credit to withdraw only after 6 months. Continue working and betting with what is left . Have a strong plans on what to do with the money after 6month and do it immediately or fix it again.
A very practical solution, unlike the commenters above who are just yearning dust.

Gambling is not for everyone,I know of sports traders who make good profit monthly but it takes serious discipline and good research, they have nothing to do with virtual games but play the real matches, they often play a single game daily worth maybe 1.3 to 1.5 odds but have a money management strategy as the month goes.
In short if they use 100k capital, they often make an extra 70 to 120k as profit by month end
no greed at all. in your own case, you need to quit, its not for you.
