Let's say state and Senatorial district levels are too dispersed, what have you done for your LGA? There are 777 LGAs in Nigeria, and if we each help develop them at our pace, we'd be better off as a country.

You are also from the Niger Delta. There is youth restiveness where you hail from, the crime is high, and expatriates are unsafe while oil pipeline vandalism is the norm. Yet you are on Nairaland typing away and being an arm chair critic.

It's also syndicated across WhatsApp groups. I and a group of other professionals banded together to train people in the oil and gas industry , and interfacing to ensure employment for skilled young people and ensure there's no youth restiveness. If you to my Facebook page (you and I know you have been visiting), you'd find a graphic flyer I posted last month stating why we are doing it.

Early last year, I drafted the profiles of some persons President Tinubu gave high portfolio appointments. I knew about the appointments two months before even the President's media aides knew or the announcements were made.

Yes. I turned down appointments too.

Make no mistake: I walk with the high and mighty but they search me out and not the other way around. I have always itted to having access to high circles.

I turned down the appointment because I can't be bought. Hopefully, I maintain my resolve because the offers are juicy.

The role required me to move to Abuja all-expense paid but I turned it down. Alhaji Yunusa Tanko who is the Obi/Obidient spokesperson wasn't even in the picture then. I turned down the role because I'd rather focus on tech and startups. I can share a message from 2020 to this effect.

I turned down an appointment in the Tinubu istration last year too for similar reasons and because I couldn't see myself defending what I do not believe in. Oh! I did? These people are insisting I work for Akpabio (and Tinubu by extension), as against holding both and others able.

Here's me taking the fight to oil companies (legally, of course), insisting on them properly compensating communities for lands lost to pipe laying and oil exploration.

You can see youth leaders entrusting me to address the in justices and anomaly and a voicenote appealing for peace while I continue to interface between communities and oil and gas coys.

You can also see one of the youth leaders ening me to continue shunning inducements as I have been offered juicy amounts and other offers to look the other way.

These are the risks I take daily and the many material things I could have been gifted easily if only I looked the other way but I insist on the right thing.

Posting it in another group with some persons in government circle last week was how I discovered a former governor embezzled billions meant for host communities when a representative of the oil companies called me privately on WhatsApp. I say these things publicly.
