Abuja, Nigeria – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reiterated his unwavering commitment to restoring security across Nigeria and ensuring that all citizens can live without fear. The President made this known during a meeting with the Charismatic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, led by its General Secretary, Archbishop Chivir Chianson, at the State House in Abuja. Represented by his Special Adviser on Policy Communications, Mr. Daniel Bwala, the President emphasized that his istration would continue to take decisive action against all forms of criminality, stressing that insecurity knows no tribe or religion. “Our security forces have received fresh marching orders to deal ruthlessly with all criminal elements threatening the peace and unity of our nation,” Bwala said on behalf of the President. “We are also working with state governors to address the root causes of insecurity so that every Nigerian can pursue their dreams in safety.” He noted that the government’s approach to security would be all-encoming, calling for a united front where evil is condemned collectively—regardless of religious or ethnic affiliations. In addition to security efforts, Bwala highlighted that recent economic reforms implemented by the Tinubu-led istration are already yielding positive outcomes, such as increased revenue for states and a significant reduction in strike actions. President Tinubu appealed to the bishops for continued , noting that national development requires collective effort. “We need your prayers, your voices, and your influence to guide our people toward unity and peace,” he said. Responding on behalf of the delegation, Archbishop Chianson praised the Tinubu istration for its landmark reforms and inclusive leadership style. He lauded the recent approval for the recruitment and deployment of forest guards, describing it as a timely intervention to curb rising insecurity in forested areas. “The Church in Nigeria acknowledges the fairness in your appointments, particularly the selection of Senator George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation,” Chianson noted. “These actions give hope to all Nigerians, regardless of faith or region.” The Archbishop also informed the President about the group’s 2025 Synod, which will focus on intercessory prayers for national peace and the empowerment of in rural communities. Other senior clergymen present included Archbishop James Maljit, Deputy National President (North), Archbishop Joseph Jatau Yari, National Vice President (Northwest), Archbishop Alexander Nyoonkyeh of the Benue Province, and Bishop David Gyang of the Plateau Province. Hehehe. After two years in power, Tinubu is still sounding like someone who is still doing campaign ![]() ![]() We are still hearing I will,I will, when will this government actually start doing something. Mr president, the insecurity in the country is worse than you met it and nothing is been done. Our politicians are more concerned with decamping to a political party that has failed to address the challenges of the people. They are indirectly telling the people to go to hell, because the only thing that matters to them is winning elections in 2027. Anyways,I don't blame our politicians,it's INEC I blame. If truly that power belongs to the people in Nigeria, our politicians will care more about the people and not about ing a political party. 41 Likes 3 Shares |

That will be very great of you. If you truly mean what you said, I can only pray that may God grant your wish and help you to truly defeat insecurity in Nigeria. I love your Forest Guards initiative, please hasten the state Police too and if possible, make it compulsory that GOCs of every Military Cantonment in Nigeria must come from that state or geopolitical zone. Do these things sincerely and insecurity will be defeated. Also tell the service chiefs to look at possibility of acquiring cheap but effective combat drones to Mann our highways and other kidnapping crime flash points, it will reduce the exposure of our soldiers and Police to unnecessary death in the hands of the worthless Fulani herdsmen terrorists, Boko Haram and Kidnappers 1 Like |
