EFCC Arrests Muhammed Kabir Sa’ad, Kaduna Content Creator

A Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna has convicted and sentenced a Kaduna- based TikToker, Muhammad Kabir, over Naira abuse and mutilation. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) revealed this on its X on Thursday.

EFCC disclosed that Kabir was arrested on May 13, in the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna State, for violating the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN Act, which prohibits the abuse and mutilation of the Naira.

Known as @youngcee0066 on TikTok and Instagram, Kabir ed a video spraying Naira notes on the floor, stepping on them, and making provocative utterances in Hausa, daring the EFCC to arrest him at his known location.

“That you Muhammad Kabir Sa’ad (a.k.a youngcee0066)(M) sometime in 2025 at Kaduna within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court did unlawfully mutilate Naira by stepping on the Naira banknotes while making a social media video and posting same on the internet and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 21(3) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007 punishable under Section 21(1) of the same Act,” his charge read.

The defendant pleaded “guilty”to the charge when itwas read to him, prompting the prosecution counsel, M.U Gadaka, to pray the court to convict and sentence him accordingly. Justice Aikawa, however, sentenced Muhammad to six months imprisonment or to pay a fine of N300,000 to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Good for him.

But I miss the old days when efcc used to go after big time criminals and corrupt politicians, not just petty offenders alone.

The boy is a fool and he got what he deserves. Him eye go don clear by now sha.

EFCC must have made him a scapegoat. well, there's not too much to investigate, he was obviously guilty

Boom, Boom, BAM

However, EFCC should go pick the case they swept under the table and jail the Okoya son who did the same thing.

Thank you EFCC for doing the right thing, else we will protest

Why did the same efcc not prosecute Okoyas children who committed the same offence and even used their police orderly to perpetrate the offence?

Hmm. At least this law is not tribal. SW man hadsbeen jailed, SS and SE people have been arrested and now Northerner has been jailed.
But all in all, it is meaningless law that is a waste of the resources given to the EFCC when there are people looting billions and EFCC does nothing.

Imagine FBI or Ghana police arresting people for spraying money at a club in New York or Accra? It will be tantamount to joblessness on their part.

Mumu defender of his oppressors.
I hope you had same energy when the Okoya's or Tompolo were seen recently abusing the Naira?
Or you have selective amnesia?

Did they challenge EFCC to come and arrest them or doing it on TikTok for clout chasing?. It seems like they didn't give you home training from home.
