DiamondsAreFore: Can you compare how much it costs to train a doctor in UK versus Nigeria? Can you also compare the cost of living. I am not even saying they earn enough. But critic should be done fairly. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

DiamondsAreFore:What the ₦4m will do in Nigeria that £2,300 cannot smell it. In Nigeria, ₦9m will buy a well large land in Surburbs of Nigeria but £4,200 will buy you a very small land in remite areas of the UK. Stop converting to understand the economics. rather measure what the salary can obtain if it guarantee same purchasing power. Average 2 bedroom flat in the UK is around £1,200 or so per month. As a Band 6 nurse here in the UK, doctors earn better, however, every country have its own issues, the loneliness in this country is out of this world, that is why most kids born here are Autistic and if care is not taken, the kids from African is not out of it. I travel to Nigeria every year because you can compare the comfort Nigeria gives to the uk. Apart from the exchange rate, here na scam.

DiamondsAreFore: Let me sweeten this by adding this from Gemini AI Training a doctor in Nigeria is significantly cheaper than in the UK due to government subsidies. In Nigeria, medical school tuition can range from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand, while UK citizens pay substantial tuition fees and taxpayers cover additional costs, according to a University World News article. In Nigeria: Public Universities: Tuition fees are heavily subsidized, with students potentially paying less than $500 for a medical degree. Private Universities: Tuition fees can range from $6,516 to $10,860 per year or session. Additional Costs: Besides tuition, students also need to factor in living expenses, books, and other associated costs. In the UK: Tuition Fees: UK citizens pay about £9,250 per year in tuition fees, which is a substantial amount. Taxpayer : The UK government also provides funding for medical education, with an additional cost of £286,347 borne by taxpayers for medical training. Student Loans: Many students also rely on student loans to cover tuition and living expenses. Additional Costs: Besides tuition, students also need to factor in living expenses, books, and other associated costs. We know most of them attend public university, and they will come back and tell us they are getting nothing from the govt 3 Likes 1 Share |

OP, you have made matters worse by converting these UK salaries to their equivalent values in Naira. Which medical doctor or student would see these and would not have the longing to japa to earn those figures?

Mabuggi88: Average house rent in United Kingdom is 1200 for a one bedroom flat. It might be cheaper in some interior places. This has taken 50% of ur take home. Food, water, light, tax on vehicle n house etc will take additional 800 then from there you can covert the rest 2 Likes |
