Madam air head.

The results of such trips are usually seen several years after they are made, not within a few weeks or months.

It's been 2 years now no result.
You think propaganda will run this govt. [quote author=OneCandleAway post=135354074]

It's been 2 years now no result. Continue defending nonsense. After 8 years with nothing tangible to point out as achievement I wonder what the excuse will be.

Wailers, dey calm down, you hear?. If it was a failure, UAE would not have resumed flight operations in Nigeria, they would not have lifted the visa suspension. Saudi Arabia would not have bought a majority shares in an manufacturing company in Nigeria to boost agriculture. Brazil largest meat processing company would not have invested in the ministry of livestock. International oil firms would not have invested in the deep offshore & gas production. Chinese companies would not have built Lithium companies in Nigeria and invested in mining. They would not have been building new steel plants in Ogun and Lagos. And many more investors, etc.
I pity you and I pity your negative mindset. At the end of the day, when Nigeria is better, everybody benefits. People like you should just take your negative energy far away.

When the President was traveling, opposition were saying all sorts, now the Amir of Qatar has sent his foreign minister to seal the deal. What an elderly sees sitting down, a child wouldn't see climbing an iroko tree. God bless Nigeria.

Why must people from Quatar come to Nigeria to plant crops for Nigerians? Do you know what they say about a nation that cannot feed itself? This is worse ... a youthful nation that is unwilling to try to feed itself ....unwilling to invest in its own citizens ...but willing to go abroad and bend backwards to lure outsiders to exploit our natural resources. And you are here singing praises to Tinubu.....one body bending forward and one bending backwards. The Arabs are coming ... let's roll out the red carpet.

I told all the nay sayers, it's about to be a season of gbas gbos gbas! The heavy lifting has been done. The bottom is in! There's only one way from here on out. The foundation of the new economy has been laid, over 180 feet deep and the world knows about it now. The era of spending tons of money wooing FDI, to help build a skyscraper on a foundation made for bungalow is over. An economy that works for a population of over 200 million, like a skyscraper, can only be built on the a foundation engineered for such.

When Tinubu was travelling those Nigeria Emergency Citizen(NEC) said he was wasting his time, he was welcomed in Qatar by a conductor, he went to snapped pictures but today can you all see it now?

Nigeria is moving plus you minus you Nigeria is moving.

You guys are just clowns walahi. People can pay visit and do photo Ops, the main koko is let us see the investment coming and manifesting in job creation. Nigeria as it is now can only favor hot money investments like buy Nigerian financial instruments. Real investments have a high level risk classification in the eyes of foreign investors.

Oga Qatar has money.

Are they even up to 1 million people there?

Yet they have bigger oil reserves than Nigeria.

Those guys are rolling in money.

They don’t even know what to do with the money. That’s why they are going around looking for where to invest.

To go full scale in agriculture you need money.

Those guys can afford to spend even 5 billion dollars on tractors here, and food prices would crash.

So long as we have a strong regulatory system in place, they should come with their capital, biko.

Burkina Faso has money? .... how are they doing with their food self sufficiency? They spend their money....buy up the lands ... what will happen to our farmers? ...small farmers? ... when you go to market and there is a scarcity of local produce ...will you then blame the farmers? ...when they come with mechanized farming and control local water supply...is it then your eyes will clear?

Israel arrived in Palestine...rest backing from the West....large farms .... tremendous progress ...but what happened to the locals? Same in South Africa. All you can see is money ...blinded by money. And we wonder how people keep going to Libya to be treated worse than animals....blinded by money.

Your problem is your mouth runs faster than your brain.

Nigeria’s 250 million people need major capital investment in every sector including agriculture. Burkina Faso, I’m not sure they are even up to 20 million people, so maybe their “small farmers” can handle agric issues there.

Nigeria’s food security issues are way beyond what small farmers can handle.

Suffer no dey do una?

Like I said, so far as we have a strong regulatory system in place, stuff like water contamination issues you spoke of, will be prevented.

Why can't the FG make capital available for locals to engage in large scale farming? What have they done locally for " sustainable food security?" What have they done to promote and increase local food production? You are basically saying we can't.... it's billions of nothing. We don't have billions...so we do nothing. The lands that they will make available for the foreigners ...they could've made available to locals. The FG can import agricultural machinery ....sell at cost price on a hire purchase basis / make available for rental/ donate to agricultural communities where they make land available. They can also make all agricultural equipment etc duty free to encourage local investment. Fish...do they patrol our waters? ... or allow foreign trawlers with high tech equipment to scoop the fish out of our waters? ...while our fishermen abandon fishing for lack of catch? When last have you heard of a foreign vessel impounded for illegally fishing in our waters? You talk of regulatory systems in place to prevent pollution and contamination .... I'm sure all are in the books ...but are they ever enforced? The mines...contamination....factories ...contamination ... oil ...contamination ... violation is normal .... but you are hoping when these come they will act within the laws. Which foreign entity does not do what they want to unchallenged in the country?. Bro...we need to have control....not running around the world begging foreigners to come and see what they want and we'll sign off in it in the name of good development and public Private Partnership. That's an invitation for exploitation.

P.S Our local farmers are being killed and their farms overrun ... insecurity is rife. What steps have the FG taken to protect the farmers? None ...or if any ... the results we cannot see. When the "investors" come ... do you think the FG will take steps to protect them and their investment? I can guarantee you troops and security outfits will be deployed for their protection .... as we have seen done with other foreign "investors".
