It is a shame that many Nigerians are yet let go of tribal bias and hateful sentiments even in the midst of widespread hunger, insecurity and bad governance. I've observed how so many s of this platform especially those that are of Yoruba descent were quick to attack and condemn Nnamdi Kanu to death in the thread title Terrorism: Nnamdi Kanu Confirmed He Ordered Tinubu, Wike To Be Killed – DSS while the real instigators of terrorism and violence all over Nigeria are roaming free and been celebrated. One person in the list of chief instigators of violence that should come to mind is Buhari. I made a post recently titled Why Nigeria Must Jail Buhari Before Nnamdi Kanu on this platform in which I shared details on how Buhari in the lead up to the 2011 election incited a bloody violence that killed many Nigerians and since then till now, Buhari has never been invited by DSS, detained or made to answer in court for his role. If Buhari can walk free in the aftermath of such a bloody event, why should Nnamdi Kanu's case be different?

Apart from Buhari, there have been several armed groups and political figures that have over the past few years been granted amnesty or pardoned like in the case of Boko Haram fighters who were directly responsible for several mass killings and destruction in the northern part of the country. It is not surprising to me that since I made that post, it has not gotten the massive condemnation or calls to arrest Buhari from s as the thread made against Nnamdi Kanu on this platform.

Sadly, the biased and hateful sentiments towards Nnamdi Kanu is not only prevalent on this platform but it is also been weaponized by malicious political agents offline to fuel the divisive tribal propaganda that has continued to keep Nigerians divided and distracted from the bad policies of the government. Why must Kanu be sentenced to jail when others have done far worse and are free? An unjust sentence will only exacerbate the unrest with in the country while the real sponsors and ers of terrorism remains emboldened to continue their killing spree. If Nigeria must jail Kanu then Buhari (Fake one or real one) needs to be arrested for the violence he orchestrated that led to the killing of Nigerians. El Rufai, his sons, Niger Delta ex militants, "repentant" Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters, controversial muslim leaders like Sheikh Ahmad Gumi and any other notable religious/political figures that have ed or sponsored violence directly or indirectly within the last few years must also be detained, they must also face trial.... If the government fails to uphold justice by not prosecuting these people then it means Nnamdi Kanu's trial is nothing but a political witch-hunt, a testament of the injustice towards the Igbo people and a validation of his call for the igbos to leave Nigeria.

If this unjust trial is allowed to continued, it will only serve as a catalyst that will lead to the eventual disintegration of the country....

But there are others as bad, even far worse than him, that are roaming free. Others have been let off the hook. To the rational mind, he should be let go for the sake of fairness.

Let the judgement start from Nnamdi Kanu

He never brought a single development to South East with his group apart from calamity

While others are roaming free? Which development did Sunday Igboho and Co. bring to the Southwest? Can you track the "meaningful" developments of Miyetti Allah and s in the North?

Fairness is needed here! No rational human can deny that.

Even though Igboho might have not brought any development to South West, but he never brought calamity like Nnamdi Kanu.

How many Igbo's have lost their lives since the emergence of Kanu and his deadly Ipob group?

Happily I blocked many of the early commenters on this thread because they can't discuss logically without tribal bias.
I hope the block will extend to not seeing their comments even when someone quotes them

Let them try him and convict him to death.
Then let them execute him and let's see how it goes from there..
Try, convict, but don't fail to execute!
Too much noise from agbadorians and their hatefilled likes over the trial. You make them.feel important by dignifying their grunts with any sort of reasonable response. They cant relate to basic reasonings..
So let them have their way; Try, convict, then go ahead and execute..
Don't shy away from EXECUTING..

We will follow it up from there.....

People don’t want to be able for their actions as this is peculiar to a set of people that feel they are superior to others! It’s great injustice if Nnmadi Kanu spent less than 10 years in incarceration to serve as deterent to others that want to toe his path, you don’t form a band of criminals tag them ipo or ipab or whatever names you call them and start directing them to go after the country’s forces celebrating the demise of the country’s forces and taking responsibilities for it ,”thinking that because he’s in a foreign land you are invincible.

Ask helinues why he is not saying anything in condemnation of other terrorism sponsors and ers.

The reason why helinues and co. What Kanu to be sentenced to death is because, he is Igbo the second reason is because they know that what Kanu was doing, is capable of dividing Nigeria and the pretentious lovers of Nigeria don't want Nigeria to divide. They need the oil and other mineral resources from the eastern region to keep flowing so that they can feed.

Stopped right here.

So Kanu that was hurling hate speech against every tribe and nationality in Nigeria with the exception of his ibo tribe as part of his Biafra agitation nko?

You are now blaming Nigerians who now see you Ibos after kanu indoctrinated and planted the seeds of hate against every other Nigerian as the tribal bigots ?

This is peak gaslighting.

You cheered Kanu on as he insulted and called for violence against every other tribe in Nigeria and here you are now accusing Nigerians of being bigots for wanting to see Kanu face trial for all the fallout of his actions against the state ?

You people are incredible hypocrites.

Don't you think that both the person that suggested and the person that ordered, the kpaings of innocent protesters at lekki toll gate should be punished too?

The whole thing is just bizarre

You go all the way to Kenya to kidnapp a man and bring him to Nigeria to stand trial, not for what he did, but for what he said.

"Nnamdi Kanu said that person should be killed, Nnamdi Kanu said this person should be killed"

All about what he said?

Yet if armed bandits slaughter 30 people in Southern Kaduna, we will not see the same energy used in rushing to Kenya

If Fulani herdsmen kill 50 people in Benue, we will not see the same speed used in running to Kenya deployed to run after them

If bandits murder 40 people in Plateau, nobody will see the urgency used in Kenya

It is only when Nnamdi Kanu talks that we will see planes, guns, helicopter, python dance, Soldiers, airforce all rushing to get the man for talking

Nigeria is still far far away grin grin grin
