Imagine being comfortably unintelligent to voice such a moronic statement and leave your fellow citizens to suffer from second hand embarrassment on your behalf. Classic low IQ leader with nothing of value to offer. China is one of the strongest countries in the world, and it’s a one-party system. We are not saying we are working for a one-party system, but if that is the wish of Nigerians, we cannot quarrel with that. 155 Likes 19 Shares |

I talk am..... That's the goal But wait! Does China has the same corrupt mindset that Nigeria politicians have, can you - APC, make law to execute corrupt politicians or sentence them to long term imprisonment either before or now? ![]() I know Ganduje will not be able to answer that question because he will be in first batch Until you take selfishness out of Nigeria politics, we will NEVER get anywhere. My take 151 Likes 10 Shares |

Nothing wrong with one party State ? Or the political ruling class is collapsing all opposition into it's fold ? I don't blame Ganduje. Akpabio said it all in his message to Obi. When Atiku couldn't articulate well in PDP and Peters labour on his party was in vain, who do you now want to blame ?

What can one expect from a notorious dollar-stuffing babariga thief, an individual who ought to be incarcerated for misappropriating public funds belonging to the people of Kano State? He remains free, shielded by the drug lord presently in power.

A one party state under Tinubu is not different from a government under one military rule under Abacha. The party is run by one leader and whatever the one leader decides in the party becomes law and is greater than the constitution and the will of the people, for example the Lagos state house of assembly saga with Obasa. That is what Tinubu wants to replicate in Nigeria, well we warned them long before about Tinubu, some people didn't listen. 55 Likes 10 Shares |

A one-party system might work for China, but Nigeria is a different terrain entirely because we thrive on diversity and the balance of opposing views. Democracy is about options, ability, and healthy competition. If every dissenting voice s the ruling party, who will question excesses or check abuse of power? What’s missing isn't more defectors, it’s stronger institutions and performance based politics. Nigeria doesn’t need fewer parties, what we need are parties that actually serve the people not just switch sides for survival of stomach infrastructure. We dey watch una. 21 Likes |

Is that why they are trying to silent all opposition? They want a one party state. No doubt the national assembly is under their pocket, the supreme Court and INEC. They gradually targeting opposition parties. Labour party that has known no trouble since their existence now filldd with problems here and there. PDP almost all the governors who should be an opposition are now endorsing tinubu. Apga has already endorsed tinubu. Guys we are now in one party state 14 Likes |

We have over fifteen ed political parties in Nigeria. Opposition parties in Nigeria are just full of bunch of lazy people. What they all want is already made cake. They don't want to work for the cake. Tinubu worked for apc before it could stand . Right from the time of AD to ACN to APC. It takes courage and determination to achieve that. 3 Likes |

That one party state is a pipe dream. Nigeria has gone beyond that. Even though it doesn't look as if we are growing, but definitely our democracy is growing. PDP did worse than this, but they only lasted 16 years, we never know they could quickly fall like pack of cards like that. 2023 election was a four horse race, i.e four formidable candidates, so, it's just a matter of time APC will also PDP in our national books of history. Infact, I don't see APC again after Pa Tinubu regime. So, it may look like it for now, but, it's not really what they are thinking. It's all a process of growth 10 Likes |

Unfortunately, there is no realistic scenario where Nigeria would adopt a one-party system without a constitutional amendment and a national referendum — none of which has occurred. Therefore, the claim that Nigeria is heading toward a one-party state is completely unfounded. Comparing Nigeria to China in this context is inaccurate and misleading. China is a one-party authoritarian state where the Communist Party controls all aspects of governance, media, and civil society. Political opposition is non-existent, and dissent is often suppressed. This centralized model allows China to implement long-term development plans with minimal resistance, but it comes at the cost of political freedoms and human rights. Nigeria, on the other hand, is a multi-party democracy with a constitution that guarantees political pluralism, freedom of speech, and the right to choose leaders through elections. The country’s diversity — ethnically, religiously, and regionally — makes political plurality essential for national cohesion and democratic representation. Additionally, while China is known for its harsh anti-corruption measures, including life imprisonment or even the death penalty for corrupt officials, Nigeria’s anti-corruption system relies on constitutional processes, judicial oversight, and independent institutions like the EFCC and IC. While enforcement in Nigeria may be slower or less severe, it operates within the bounds of rule of law and due process. In short, Nigeria and China operate under fundamentally different political systems, legal frameworks, and societal expectations. It's important to recognize these distinctions rather than draw direct comparisons that ignore context BlackViper: 5 Likes 1 Share |
