Tinubu's Anambra Visit: APGA , Soludo Groups Stripped of Uniforms, Warned

Ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's visit to Anambra State today, the Presidency has directed of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Governor Soludo Groups not to wear their uniforms during the President's reception.

Sources close to the matter revealed that this decision was made to avoid giving the event a partisan tone.

According to insiders, the President's visit is primarily in response to an invitation from Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Secretary of the Commonwealth, who is hosting an event at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka.

The President's political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), had expressed concerns that the visit could be perceived as a vote of no confidence in their governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, especially given the timing in an electioneering period.

A source familiar with the planning of the visit confirmed that the ban on uniforms was one of the conditions set before the President agreed to attend.

"This APGA uniform issue is one of the conditions given before BAT agrees to come," the source said.

Following this directive, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, Special Adviser to Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, issued a statement informing attendees of the President's reception to dress in Mufti.

"This is to inform you that everybody coming to Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka for the reception of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu tomorrow( today) should be in Mufti," Dr. Obiogbolu said, adding, "Please, nobody should put on APGA clothes or Groups uniforms."

The move aims to emphasize the non-partisan nature of the President's visit, focusing on the commissioning of projects executed by Governor Soludo's istration, without more.

This is a good development, so that APC will not see the visit as president's to APGA,which is anti party activities.

Tinubu knows what he is doing. Take it or leave it, Soludo has always been an ally to Tinubu irrespective of party, he is even in the presidential economic advisory. Tinubu has past the level of partisan politics, he is doing people politics which operates irrespective of party. Take it or leave it presido is backing Soludo indirectly.

My opinion.

Lovely to see how they were all eager and happy to see the President of the country. Even their Presidential candidate lives and stays in Lagos, home of the President.

One Nigeria.

It wasn't a party event.

That is why Peter Obi should have been there in solidarity with a state he governed. But he must be somewhere comparing poverty rates between India and Togo.

The idea that somehow Tiubus presence at Awka might amount to some sort of political gains for Soludo and APGA, is in itself very laughable and irritating..

In the east, with his relentless war against igbos unabated, Tinubu is a worse political baggage than buhari.., and that's putting it mildly.. Dude inspires no one over there..

So if there is anyone that could loose some political capital between him and soludo as a result of being seen together during this visit, it is Soludo..

In my opinion, this symbolic visit by Tinubu to Anambra state is not an ordinary one. It is a clear indication that Soludo is already an APC governor.... Just like other captured opposition states. Soludo will make his move at the appointed time....

There is no sense in this nonsense.

Will same be said to be done if the incumbent State Governor was from the APC !!!!!

The APGA flag should be hoisted in all the major roads round abouts and every high rise building to showcase the party whose leadership is in government in the State
