A video has surfaced online showing a man destroying his Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) ATM card, expressing fear and concern for the safety of the bank's customers.

In the video, he says:
"I just got back from GTBank, where I went to block my . I am officially destroying my debit card now because I no longer want anything to do with GTBank. If someone like VeryDarkMan can be easily kidnapped at a GTBank branch, then no one is safe."

He revealed that he had transferred all his funds to digital financial platforms like OPay and Moniepoint.

Displaying his GTBank debit card—which he noted was still relatively new and valid until April 2028—he expressed serious concern over the way VeryDarkMan was arrested by the EFCC. Without hesitation, he used a pair of scissors to cut the card into pieces, declaring that he is completely done with the bank.

I have stopped using GTB and I know friends who had same too. That bank is on it way to the bottomless pit. GTB that used to be the best bank in Nigeria. That bank is now something else...too aggressive kind of a bank.

VDM is one of the few vocal people who don't fear politicians. I think Deji and Sowore should get involved in this matter.

Sowore and maybe Deji are both sensible. They can't just jump into the matter without getting the true information so they don't end up embarrassing themselves if they find out that VDM actually did something wrong.

Vdm did not say he was held in the trapdoor, his lawyer was the one that said that, and I'm not sure where he got that info cause CCTV footage of the incident shows that vdm was never delayed in the trapdoor
