At St. Peter's Square, a remarkable scene of order and solemnity unfolded during the burial ceremony of Pope Francis. From the general public section to the clergy, dignitaries, and finally to the Cardinals and Bishops, every group was meticulously arranged, reflecting deep respect for the occasion.

The general public, many of whom had traveled from all corners of the world, sat quietly and reverently, their rows neatly aligned. Behind them, the clergy formed a dignified block, easily distinguishable by their flowing robes. High-ranking dignitaries, including heads of state and government representatives, occupied their designated places with composed elegance. Closest to the altar, the Cardinals and Bishops, clad in their ceremonial vestments, completed the majestic sight.

It was truly a beauty to behold !

Some of the world's most powerful leaders — both current and former — as well as several heads of state representatives, were all in attendance, further highlighting the global significance of the event. Their presence added to the solemn grandeur of the day, as thousands came together in perfect harmony to bid farewell to a beloved spiritual leader.

Back in medieval times the pope was extremely powerful. In fact, he was the most powerful man in the world.

He exerted supremacy over kings through divine right and was a kingmaker and a king destroyer.

It was because of the pope's vast power that King Henry the Eight broke England away from thr Catholicism and started the Anglican church.

Current popes may not be as powerful as back in the day. But they still hold great influence which is what you see today.

Seeing this makes me allude that the pope is the most celebrated man on earth. Only I don't think he's that powerful.

Rest on Pope

I was going to contributes one or two things until I saw your last paragraph. You are very right. According to the last Forbes power list, the Pope is one of the top 10 most powerful people in the world. You know, the pope is also a head of state. He heads the sovereign state of Vatican.

I saw Iran, Iraq even Saudi Arabia dignitaries to shocked attended the Pope burial this is to tell some gullible fanatics especially up North that the world has moved beyond religion bigotry . Most of this wars are game of self interest, politically motivated and has nothing to do with religion grin
Modified even Afghanistan attended and either Shetima or Tinubu couldn't attend bcs of some religious fanatics and Oglicharch comments up North which might tarnish the reasons for their emergent in North. Nigeria is in chambles of old and erratic Islamic religion extremist.
Yet Israel didn't attend and some fanatic Christians down the South will be praying and fasting for them to destroy Gaza undecided . In short the world has left Nigeria religion extremism even Afghanistan don leave us embarassed

King Henry broke away to establish Anglican because Pope didn't endorse his polygamous lifestyle.

Please don't confuse people, you can read history and know why King Henry the Eight formed Anglican Church and not because of what you just wrote.

The Pope is a world leader, therefore am not surprised at this scene. Give honour to whom honour is due.
May his soul rest in peace 🙏
